Bạn đạo-8: Giờ con không lập gia đình, á, thì bạn bè rượt đánh con, thì con chạy ngay cái chân hương của Đức ông Tám;

Đức Thầy-8: Ừ?

Bạn đạo-8.1: Con nắm cái chân hương con liệng lại, thì mỗi một cây nhang thì chết một người, bởi vì con là theo đạo;

Bạn đạo-17.1: Có rất nhiều trạng thái;

Đức Thầy-17.1: Cái định là phải trụ điển nó mới định.

Bạn đạo-17.1: Dạ. [10:05]

Đức Thầy-35: Nó cũng quân bình như những người Soi Hồn và Pháp Luân, Thiền Định;

Do ai?

Do công phu, do sự cố gắng, do sự dày công của hành giả.

Đức Thầy-51: Con còn than ván, Con còn cầu xin là Con tính ở lại đây sao?

Đức Thầy-52: Con còn than khổ là Con còn ý niệm trả thù! Con hiểu chưa?

Bạn đạo-52: Dạ.

Đức Thầy-53: Mà hết than khổ rồi là Con cứu độ, cứu khổ chúng sanh, cứu độ chúng sanh, cứu khổ ban vui.

SPIRITUAL DISCOURSE AT BOTHELL MEDITATION CENTER

10 January 1984

Mr. Tám: … and do not become involved in places characterised by, let 's say, turmoil. If you practise spiritual cultivation, in your next life you will have the opportunity to be reborn into a family with the means to practise; this is entirely different from those who do not practise and commit evil deeds.

Does anyone have any further questions? [0:22]

Vô Vi Friend-1: Earlier, I mentioned to the Master that when I meditate and breathe, I feel as though I’m floating. Should I continue meditating now, or—I mean, I’m not sure—if I meditate for longer, will anything…

Mr. Tám-1: It’s all right!

Vô Vi Friend 1.1: But should I meditate some more?

Mr. Tám-1.1: You can meditate for longer, but you won’t drift off anywhere! It rises and then it comes back together; it doesn’t disappear. Up and down—there’s still a long way to go!

Vô Vi Friend 1.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-1.2: Up and down – it’ll be a long time yet!

Vô Vi Friend-1.2: For example, if I practise meditation for even longer, will it remain the same, or will it change?

Mr. Tám-2: It does change, but it depends on your practice. Practice is a karmic connection that depends on your development at a deeper level, and it develops through clarity.

Vô Vi Friend-3: When I practise ‘Concentration of Spiritual Energy’, tears sometimes well up in my eyes. What does this mean, Master?

Mr. Tám-3: It’s all right. It’s just fluid from the liver coming out; it has nothing to do with eating. It’s impure fluid. Sweat and tears – impure fluid. It’s good that it comes out; once it’s out, you’ll feel lighter.

Vô Vi Friend-4: (unclear) [2:01]

Mr. Tám-4: What?

Vô Vi Friend-4.1: Master.

Mr. Tám-4,1: How have things been these past few days? Tell me about it.

Vô Vi Friend-4.2: Going to find the Master, well... (The Master and the Vô Vi Friend laugh) I found the Master right by the Bodhi tree.

Mr. Tám-4.2: Oh. And then what? Go on...

Vô Vi Friend-4.3: You said you were Maitreya, the Buddha Maitreya; I saw it very clearly, but you wouldn’t admit it—yet I saw it very clearly!

Mr. Tám-4.4: I’m just wearing a plain shirt, and yet you say I’m Maitreya?

Vô Vi Friend-4.4: No, I could see the Buddha statue all the time, and I could see Mr. Tám all the time; he was always sitting there. Then Mr. Tám announced that he had attained enlightenment. There were two female attendants. I was transcribing the sutras, but as they were almost completely worn out, I had to transcribe them anew.

Mr. Tám-4.5: Oh.

Vô Vi Friend-4.5: I saw it very clearly, I saw it very clearly; I’m not mistaken. I see him all the time. When I see him, he’s not wearing a bà ba dress.

Mr. Tám-4.6: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-4.6: If you’re out helping others, then wear a bà ba dress; but if you’re just sitting here, you don’t need to.

Mr. Tám-4.6: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-4.7: I can always see the Buddha, the Buddha Maitreya.

Mr. Tám-4.7: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-4.8: He’s huge!

Mr. Tám-4.8: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-4.9: Sitting under the Bodhi tree.

Mr. Tám-4.9: Yes. Only you are talking, there is no sufficient evidence? It’s only when many people see it that we can discuss it; but at present, who would acknowledge it?

Vô Vi Friend-5: Whoever does not acknowledge it, yet speaking about my Vô Vi, my meeting you, I have … there is me who acknowledges it.

Mr. Tám-5: (laughing) Yes!

Vô Vi Friend-6: There there is me who acknowledges it! (the Master laughs)... My heart acknowledges it. (the Master laughs). Because the Master has a mission: to come down to this world in this lifetime to save and guide humanity. As for me, I do understand it! Today I...

Mr. Tám-6: There are many people who look at me and think, “What’s the big deal about that fat bloke to create such rambling?’ (laughs)

That’s alright! Everyone have understood; everyone has received good fortune, haven’t they? So, we’ll just all focus on our spiritual practice, shall we, so that everyone has the chance to practice!

You’re here; you’ve given me such a high position, who’d dare to talk with, with, with me, now, eh? [4:02]

Vô Vi Friend-7: As for me, there’s plenty of evidence to believe in the Master.

Mr. Tám-7: She’s causing me trouble! (laughs)

Vô Vi Friend-7.1: Because the Master also came to our home to show exactly how to breathe, step by step; and Mr. Tư came along too!

Mr. Tám-7.1: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-7.2: Since then, I’ve felt much better and I’ve been sleeping very well.

Mr. Tám-7.2: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-7.3: Well, at that time I couldn’t actually see you; I only saw your image, I didn’t get to meet you in person.

Mr. Tám-7.3: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-7.4: I see it all the time!

Mr. Tám-7.4: Well, do your best, then! That means you’ve been blessed and encouraged! Concentrate on practicingspiritual cltivation; will you? Because the road ahead is long—very, very long indeed! [4:27]

Vô Vi Friend-8: Then, I didn’t get married, my friends would chase me and beat me up, so I ran straight to the incense altar of Mr Tam;

Mr. Tám-8: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-8.1: I’ll grab the incense holder and hurl it back; for every stick of incense, one person will die, because I followed the spiritual path;

Mr. Tám-8.1: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-8.2: So, everybody thought I was completely mad! I tried my best to run after it; when I managed to grab the bundle of incense, I threw it back—and so many people died! All I could see were ox heads and horse faces; not human faces at all; very few, Master!

Mr. Tám-8.2: Yes. So, you going to the side of oxen heads and horses faces; who are they, can you see? We’re rightnow eating meat, it’s all over the place inside here; everyone has ox heads and horse faces inside them! (laughs) You’ll only be able to let go of them after practising spiritual cultivation for a while!

Vô Vi Friend-9: Master, I was practising the Continuous Cyclical Breathing, and I saw twelve children dancing with flowers for me. When my spirit left my body, I found myself sitting in a place I didn’t recognise,

Mr. Tám-9: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-9.1: But I saw 12 children, out in the forest, dancing with flowers, circling round the child,

Mr. Tám-9.1: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-9.2: I was really surprised too, and said: ‘Why is it that when I first started practising meditation, I didn’t see the Buddha, I didn’t see anything, but instead I saw children dancing for me?’ But, thanks to you, Master,

Mr. Tám-9.2: They’re delighted, you know; they’re welcoming the spiritual cultivation newcomer, they’re welcoming the spiritual cultivation practitioner! Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-9.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-10: Otherwise, your mind will not awaken, you will become mired, and they would be gone! Therefore, when you ascend, when you rise to a higher plane, you will hear supernatural music resounding! It is very solemn, a verysolemn welcoming indeed, not like in this world.

If someone comes here wanting to practise the Spiritual Path, our fellow practitioners would be delighted! It’s just like music playing: ‘Oh, someone here is asking to lear practicing the Spiritual Path!’ and so on …It ‘s just like music strikingup!

But up there, it’s different. When you practise and are able to return, music resounds from all directions, welcoming you. People are very harmonious there; it’s not at all like the way of the world.

Vô Vi Friend-11: Master, I also had a dream in which I saw you.

Mr. Tám-11: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-11.1: If you go into the church, I’ll go into the church too,

Mr. Tám-11.1: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-11.2: But I saw you scolding those who were late!

Mr. Tám-11.2: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-11.3: … going tino church.

Mr. Tám-12: That’s to wake people up.

Vô Vi Friend-12: Yes, Master.

Mr. Tám-12.1: Because in Catholicism, it’s all about faith.

Vô Vi Friend-12.1: Yes. And I see you all the time, Master!

Mr. Tám-12.2: Faith! My speciality is always to awaken people’s hearts.

Vô Vi Friend-12.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-12.2: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-13: Master,

Mr. Tám-12.3: Many people have seen it.

Vô Vi Friend-13: Master, I am currently avoiding my husband; is that a sin, Master?

Mr. Tám-13: How are you avoiding?

Vô Vi Friend-13.1: Well, if I can’t run away, I’ld still be caught! (laughs)

Mr. Tám-13.1: (laughs) Does ‘running away’ mean entering the monastic life? (laughs).

Vô Vi Friend-13.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-14: Between husband and wife, why don’t you say, “I’m going to exercise”

Vô Vi Friend-14: Yes.

Mr. Tám-14.1: “I’m learning how to keep fit”; do you see? Then, often, when their husband or wife cares for us, they think we’re up to something bad! That will lead to real damage! That’s the sin of lack of honesty; don’t you see?

Vô Vi Friend-14.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-14.2: Ah, “I find that practising this brings me peace of mind and good health, and I love my children and my husband even more.”

Vô Vi Friend-14.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-14.3: Do you see? Why don’t you speak the truth?

Vô Vi Friend-14.3: Yes.

Mr. Tám-14.4: That sort of thing is good for you and good for your family; don’t you see?

But if you keep it hidden and they find out, they’ll say: ‘Goodness me, you’re following that bunch of mad people, and you’ve been hiding it from me!’ Well, for foreigners, that sort of thing is very important; if you’re even a little dishonest, they won’t trust you for the rest of your life!

Vô Vi Friend-15: Yes, Master. I was talking about avoiding the subject of, er, husband and wife.

Mr. Tám-15: Yes, husband and wife. Husband and wife, we must be honest with each another. “Because this is about health!”

Vô Vi Friend-15: Yes.

Mr. Tám-15.1: “This is health, you see? But when, I mean, because I love my husband, I look after his health. But if, by some misfortune, I didn’t love him, how could he stay healthy enough to provide for his family? Do you see? This matter, the more we are close, the more harm!” You demonstrate it to him!

Vô Vi Friend-15.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-15.2: Clearly demonstrate it to him! Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-16: Yes. Teacher. About being vegetarian, Teacher, there are times when I end up eating leftovers, whether they are meat dishes or,… [9:31]

Mr. Tám-16: You shouldn’t! Being vegetarian means you must maintain a vegetarian diet to keep the body pure.

Vô Vi Friend-16.1: In that case, I shall no longer eat meat.

Mr. Tám-16.1: It purifies one’s being. Eating meat is of no benefit.

Vô Vi Friend-16.2: As for the leftovers, would it be a sin to throw them away, Teacher?

Mr. Tám-16.2: It’s all right. We needn’t bring that into ourselves any longer, as we haven’t reached that level yet.

Vô Vi Friend-17: Yes, Master. Regarding another matter, Teacher, could you explain to me the concept of ‘Contemplation’? There are many states of Contemplation. In meditation, we practice sitting meditation; but what about contemplating our heart and mind?

Mr. Tám-17: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-17.1: There are many states;

Mr. Tám-17.1: Contemplation comes from focusing our spiritual energy; only then is one in contemplation.

Vô Vi Friend-17.1: Yes? [10:05]

Mr. Tám-17.2: And once in contemplation, your spirit can exit.

Vô Vi Friend-17.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-17.3: Do you see? Spiritual energy is gathered at the head center top, right? When we think of the Buddha, we’ve arrived; right? Wherever we think of, it must be able to go there!

Vô Vi Friend-17.3: Yes.

Mr. Tám-17.4: Be in contemplation means be able to eixt; do you see? One must have reached that level in order to be incontemplation.

Vô Vi Friend-18: Yes. Master, there are times when as I am sitting, I feel as though I’ve just entered …, I don’t know whether it was I had fallen asleep sitting, or whether I’ve become dazed?

Mr. Tám-18: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-18.1: So I’ve heard some practicing friends say that if you can, while sitting, reach a state of contemplation, like being in a trance but you can still hear people talking outside...

Mr. Tám-18.1: No; that’s within sub-concioousness, there is consciousness; within sub-concioousness, there is consciousness.

The state of contemplation is different.

Vô Vi Friend-18.1: Yes, Teacher!

Mr. Tám-19: When you have achieved contemplation, you must be able to leave! To be in contemplation means it hasreached balance, it can exit: leaving and coming back freely.

As for that other one, it is merely in meditative stage.

Vô Vi Friend-19: Yes, that is merely in meditative stage, yes. [11:17]

Mr. Tám-20: When you have attained contemplation, no matter what explosions go off, you pay no heed; you finish your work, and only then do you return.

Vô Vi Friend-20: Yes.

Mr. Tám-20: It’s different.

Vô Vi Friend-21: (unclear) [11:26]

Mr. Tám-21: How so?

Vô Vi Friend-21: So that is called ‘meditation’; the state I’m in right now is meditation, yes.

Mr. Tám-22: Yes, meditation. Some people talk about the form… a form, or something like that?

Vô Vi Friend-22: No, I’m just wondering… because I’ve read from books, Teacher,

Mr. Tám-22: Right.

Vô Vi Friend-23: When we first start meditation, we need the Mauni Pearl.

Mr. Tám-23: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-23: Because Uncle Mẫn said that...

Mr. Tám-24: Well, to understand the human spirit, you understand the wordly embryo, the embryo from which a human being is born

Vô Vi Friend-24: Yes?

Mr. Tám-24.1: Do you see? The embryo lies in the mother’s womb, doesn’t it? Then, exactly nine months and ten days, or thereabouts, it turns upside down and comes out; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-24.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-25: Are we talking about permanent life? Birth, condensation… Do you see? Birth, condensation … within itsheart and mind,

Vô Vi Friend-25: Yes?

Mr. Tám-26: Many things happening; then comes the day he goes to work, this, that, and so on; then come old age, death.

Vô Vi Friend-26: Yes.

Mr. Tám-27: Birth, condensation to form this body, right? That is how a human being is born.

Vô Vi Friend-27: Yes.

Mr. Tám-28: Now, if we wish to ascend to perceive the spirit, we must do the 100 percent exact opposite of what we did when we descended! Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-28: Yes.

Mr. Tám-29: When we descended, we had to plunge head down, you see, to join wordly birth and desire—do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-29: Yes.

Mr. Tám-30: Now that we turn around going forward back up, we must open the top of our head so that there is a path to ascend. We “Concentrate our Spiritual Energy”; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-30: Yes.

Mr. Tám-31: Then up above, this, this, this head must vibrate harmoniously with the entire Cosmos to return to itsnatural state; do you see? [13:12]

When we practise “Continuous Cyclical Breathing,” it opens the Ren and Du meridian flows up, allowing to propel the energy upward.

So, once it had taken form, the spiritual energy, because it previously descended as energy, it now has taken root within that piece of flesh, that lump of flesh, and then, upon being born, it began to move its arms and legs, and then startedcrying out.

So then now, it must first concentrate its spiritual energy before it can manifest as a Sacred Embryo: it first emerges as a while light and sets off travelling round and round the five continents, witnessing this, that and the other matters. Then, one day, it settles within the Sacred Embryo.

At that moment, it emerged as a little mass, with a face, eyes, nose, ears and mouth just like in this world, and hands and feet just like in this world, but smaller, smaller than this human body; it’s like a baby.

Vô Vi Friend-31: Yes.

Mr. Tám-32: Moving and standing up with great ease and speed.

However, before we can return to the spirit, we must first return to the Sacred Embryo; then, after it emerges, we will be, once harmonised with the pure primordial energy of the cosmos, our spirit will be able to be formed.

That’s why, in order to explore all of that, we practise Concentration of Spiritual Energy, Continuous Cyclical Breathing, and Contemplative Meditation in order to reach that junction! To go back in such orderly manner.

Vô Vi Friend-32: Yes.

Mr. Tám-33: But, in this time of urgency, I urge everyone to focus their invocation at the center of their head so as to draw upon that pure energy and merge with the Divine Grace, which may descend at any moment during this period, in order to maintain a connection; and should any heavenly change occur, the Higher Powers will send down a ray of light, and we shall follow that path straight upwards, transporting us to a new planet or some other place. [15:18]

That‘s why, remain steadfast and resolute in your faith: that if we return to a state of balance, we shall find ourselves dwelling in a state of renewed balance.

And if we continue to harbour turmoil and strife, we shall never have the chance to return! For how can turmoil and strife ever soar upwards?

And whilst we are practising ‘Concentration of Spiritual Energy’, our energy flow resides here.

Vô Vi Friend-33: Yes.

Mr. Tám-34: It’s drawn up from Above! Whereas ordinary people do not have it.

And as they do not have it, what should they do?

They must do good deeds; they must cultivate a spirit of self-sacrifice to help others, so that their soul may feel peaceful.

If, for instance, a person who is spiteful and resentful, we bring him into society and he is able to save lives, seeing people on the brink of death and he is able to bring them back to life, and seeing people in distress and he is able to provide them with food and clothing—and if he were to do good deeds and encourage people to turn from sorrow to joy, then his soul would be at peace; don’t you see?

Vô Vi Friend-34: Yes.

Mr. Tám-35: He is just as balanced as those practicing Concentration of Spiritual Energy, Continuous Cyclica Breathing,and Meditative Contemplation;

Vô Vi Friend-35: Yes.

Mr. Tám-36: He is already light, so when a crisis arises, the Higher Powers shine down and draw him upwards; the Jade Amulet shines down and draws it away; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-36: Yes.

Mr. Tám-37: As for us here, it is the same; indeed, we are moving faster and more directly: Concentration of SpiritualEnergy, Continuous Cyclical Breathing, and Meditative Contemplation every night, every hour, every night, every hour, day and night, each hour is an hour of urgency, without delay, to prepare this foundation to ascend rather than remain here.

We have clearly chosen the path home! Every night, every practice session is a step upwards; there is no lingering here any longer. True liberation!

So whenever the day of change comes, we’ll be there, not here, and we won’t be afraid of death any more.

Vô Vi Friend-37: Yes.

Mr. Tám-38: That‘s why, those who practise meditation to cultivate spiritually are more assured and can clearly affirm to themselves, “My path!”

So, those of you who haven’t yet practised spiritual cultivation may feel restless; but once you have practiced, you’ll feel light, having gradually resolutely unburdened yourselves of external circumstances; it has become lighter.

And just think, how long has it taken you?

The time has only been six months, one year, yet you can already see the change in you! Whereas that other person had been doing charity work for three or four years, without seeing any change at all in their look. Here, after just less than one year, you’ve changed! Even if you can sit in meditation for an hour, one hour is enough to see a change, let alone sitting for longer! Do you see?

Thanks to whom?

Thanks to the meditation practice, the effort, and the dedication of the practitioner.

Because normally, if you ask him to sit for an hour, how on earth can he? He can’t even sit still for long when he’s out drinking and a bite to eat, so don’t ask him to sit in meditation, and sit for an hour!

Then from there, practitioners manage to sit for 2 hours, 3 hours, sit right through to dawn without any impure thoughts; their minds are at ease, free from all anxiety. They simply had to wait a little while for the change in circumstances to arise, and ‘bang’—they would arrive to the other location.

That‘s why, we must act swiftly in accordance with the current shift in circumstances, and not wait for the SacredEmbryo, nor wait for anything else; no need to be turmoiled by that issue!

Just concentrate on practicing diligently, and when the time comes, they pull, and you’ll arrive there; just a blink of an eye and you have arrived.

That‘s why, nowadays there are some young people who have come in to start spiritual cultivation practise; they can understand, and they practice; they will be successful becuase their Essential energy, Breath Energy and Spiritual energy are full, and since they have committed to spiritual cultivation practice, they resolve matters very quickly, without any difficulty.

Vô Vi Friend-38: Yes.

Mr. Tám-39: That‘s why, when the coming upheaval arrives, they will be put to work immediately! People have already made the selection.

As for those who are entangled in the Seven Emotions And Six Desires, they will inevitably be held back; they are certainly bound to be held back! The Seven Emotions And Six Desires have to be severed in order to enjoy lightness.

Vô Vi Friend-39: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-40: Master, you have taught us to re-establish order. I have sometimes observed and reflected that there are two ways in which conflicts may arise. For example, during a session when I am to practise Continous Cyclical Breathing, but a friend might ask for my help, and I might set aside my Continous Cyclical Breathing session to assist them with something urgent. In such a case, Master, would I be disrupting the order?

Mr. Tám-40: It’s all right. It is only when people need our help with something essential that we volunteer to help.

Vô Vi Friend-40: Yes, Master.

Mr. Tám-41: Because the Continuous Cyclical Breathing restores order, but when you help others to find order, your own heart and mind also find peace! It’s simply a matter of bringing peace to the mind, that ‘s all.

Vô Vi Friend-41: Yes.

Mr. Tám-42: Well, when you help others, isn’t your heart and mind at peace? It’s the same thing! That is why people say: “Dedicated work, resultful work, meritorious work”! To bring us peace of mind! That‘s the purpose!

Friend-42: Yes. Also, there are times when some of my friends reproach me for not looking after myself but instead looking after others. When I hear those words, I don’t feel very happy, but I still wonder: are my friends right, or am I doing the right thing?

Mr. Tám-43: No, not right! The person who criticize you, he criticised your shirt for being ugly, but he did not provide you with a decent one to wear!

Vô Vi Friend 43: Right!

Mr. Tám-43.1: And whilst he criticised your work, he couldn’t replace you at doing it either!

Vô Vi Friend-43.1: That‘s right!

Mr. Tám-44: Whatever work you set your heart on, if you see it as selfless and helping others, alleviating suffering and bringing joy, just go ahead and do it!

Vô Vi Friend-44: Yes.

Mr. Tám-44.1: It’s Heavens matter!

Vô Vi Friend-44.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-44.2: Why must we be slave to one person? Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-44.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-44.3: And always, when we always peacefully work to help others, without seeking personal gain, that brings blessings to ourselves, our family, and our ancestors; do you see? (21:40)

Vô Vi Friend-45: Teacher, may I ask you a question?

Mr. Tám-45: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-45.1: I, I had a dream in which I saw you,

Mr. Tám-45.1: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-45.2: Then you slit a pig’s throat,

Mr. Tám-45.2: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-45.3: But why did that pig cry like a child? And I noticed it was crying in fits and starts. I wonder if that’s an omen of some sort, Teacher?

Mr. Tám-45.3: That was to awaken your heart and mind.

Vô Vi Friend-45.3: Yes.

Mr. Tám-45.4: To see that the pig is a human being.

Vô Vi Friend-45.4: Yes.

Mr. Tám-45.5: And make sure to eat a vegetarian diet and train yourself in spiritual cultivation,

Vô Vi Friend-45.5: Yes.

Mr. Tám-45.6: And no longer eat meat.

Vô Vi Friend-45.6: Yes.

Mr. Tám45.7: That’s all there is to it!

Vô Vi Friend-45.7: Yes.

Mr. Tám-45.8: Nothing else! Don’t you see, the pig is a human being! Because eating meat ...

Vô Vi Friend-46: It must be because I like eating meat!

Mr. Tám-46: Yes, you like eating meat! In eating meat, we are eating our own kin; no one else!

Vô Vi Friend-46: Yes!

Mr. Tám-46.1: But we don’t realize it.

Vô Vi Friend-46.1: I am not vegetarian!

Mr. Tám-46.2: You see! That’s why people have pointed that out to you, so your heart may awaken!

Vô Vi Friend-46.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-46.3: You see, when you slit its throat, it is a human being, because it has the five internal organs and the four senses just like us: eyes, nose, ears and mouth; just like us!

Vô Vi Friend-46.3: Yes.

Mr. Tám-46.4: But no one would believe it when I say that. So to let you see clearly that those who eat meat are more cruel than the kind hearted. Cruel!

Vô Vi Friend-46.4: Yes.

Mr. Tám-46.5: And since you want to be a kind-hearted person to save yourself, save your children, you should start being vegetarian? Right?

Vô Vi Friend-46.5: Yes.

Mr. Tám-46.6: There will be no harm at all! It’ll be an opportunity for us to awaken our heart and mind!

[another recording]

Mr. Tám-47: Do you see now? Otherwise, you don’t know anything at all; you even rejoice being stranded here!

You can’t go back home! Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-47: Yes.

Mr. Tám-48: Because people here die, live without knowing when they will die; do you see? And they do not know, “Why have I come here, and where shall I go when I leave?” They do not know! They are of of such ignorance! Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-48: Yes.

Mr. Tám-49: But you have suffered, so you met the Vô Vi Path, you listened to my words of explanation, and that’s when you realise that your spirit is immortal: ‘Oh, so, no matter in whichever circumstances, we always learn; that‘s all!” Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-49: Yes.

Mr. Tám-50: Go through suffering, then! Is there any suffering worse than that of an animal? But the animal accepts tolive in its circumstances, so that it may be allowed to be a human being; do you see?

And is there anything more painful than the Buddha’s? Look at Shakyamuni, do you see how much he suffered? Look at Thị Kính GuanYin, not even to mention the immense sufferings of the Southern Seas GuanYin (Vô Vi Friend weeps)! Do you see? Only then would they awaken their hearts; do you see? It was only after suffering injustice and all manners of sorrow and hardship that they awaken their hearts; you see! Do you see? (Vô Vi Friend weeps)

So why, when you have the opportunity to suffer, don’t you rejoice and accept, accept to stay in the suffering, so that you may rise above it and attain liberation within this one very lifetime? Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-50: Yes.

Mr. Tám-51: You’re still complaining, still begging; do you intend to stay here? (Vô Vi Friend weeps) What has staying here ever given you? It has only tormented you; do you not see that clearly? Do you see?

Yet, even to this day, you still haven’t recognized your own narrow-minded and impure nature; do you see?

Keep practising spiritual cultivation for some time, keep invoking “Nam Mô A Di Đà Phật” with devotion so that it will hopefully open your heart; ok? To become generous!

Vô Vi Friend-51: Yes.

Mr. Tám-52: As long as you complain of suffering, you are still harbouring thoughts of revenge. Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-52: Yes.

Mr. Tám-53: But once you have ceased to lament your suffering, you will save and deliver sentient beings from suffering; you will save sentient beings from sorrows and bring them joy. Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-53: Yes.

Mr. Tám-54: But if you are not within suffering, how can you know that in the future you will save those who are suffering? (the Vô Vi Friend weeps.) It is only when you make the effort and practise spiritual cultivation that you will come to see. Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-54: (crying)... Sentient beings, now... I’m not ready yet... I’m not ready yet…

Mr. Tám-55: Yes! Little by little, bit by bit, you’ll awaken your mind and come to realise, to realize that suffering is the most precious thing for a spiritual cultivation practitioner. Do you understand?

Mental and emotional suffering is the most precious thing for a spiritual cultivation practitioner. Only through mental and emotional suffering does one seek the spiritual path; do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-55: Yes.

Mr. Tám-56: But you must come out from the inside of that mental emotional training course! only then will you be able to apply it. That‘s why, here in this society, you have to be a specialist in some field before you get to work in it; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-56: Yes.

Mr. Tám-57: Well, now you’re right in the middle of the very specialised course that Heaven is teaching you; and later on you’ll be able to help others unbind themselves. It’s going to be all right.

Vô Vi Friend-57: Yes.

Mr. Tám-58: You believe that, “How I used to suffer so much, yet now I have been set free like this! To what do I owe it?”

That’s all you have to say; that‘s enough to help save people...

Vô Vi Friend-58: Yes.

Mr. Tám-59: You don’t need to say, ‘I must be Bodhisattva of Compassion before I can save people!”

Your heart being awakened to such extent is enough to allow you to lead countless people back to their ancestral homeland!

Vô Vi Friend-59: Yes.

Mr. Tám-60: So many people going back to Heaven! Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-60: Yes.

Mr. Tám-61: Yes! Then they’ll dissolve into suffering!

Yes, who has that tape? You demand to have the tape entitled, “Faith Within Suffering”.

Vô Vi Friend-61: Yes.

Mr. Tám-62: It’s enough for you to listen to it.

Vô Vi Friend-62: Yes, yes, I have it!

Mr. Tám-62: Right!

[at another time …]

Mr. Tám-63: ... at one place, and listen! Do you feel happy? You are ahead of others; do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-63: Yes.

Mr. Tám-64: It’s not just you who are suffering. The Vietnamese people these days are so fed up with life that they just want to die and be done with it! Don’t you see? It is through this that they reach liberation.

But God sees that human wisdom has reached its limits; with a single act, He saves us all. He is not foolish; He would never abandon His children. Do you see?

If you have children and you see an opportunity to save your children, you must save them at all costs! It’s the same with God: He sees His children suffering, and He wants to save them. He sees the wealthy, well-dressed, yet they too suffer and harbour mental anguish; and the poor also harbour mental anguish; so everyone is afflicted! Is there anyone at peace? He must save them. Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-64: Yes.

Mr. Tám-65: So, He has His own way! Heaven isn’t stupid, is it? Even mortal parents aren’t stupider than their children, so how could Heaven be any more foolish than us? Do you understand that point?

Vô Vi Friend-65: Yes.

Mr. Tám-66: Yes. Suffering causes one to shut oneself away in a narrow confines. For us here, suffering is the truth; it will lead one to the shore of enlightenment. So many spiritual cultivation practitioners must endure suffering constantly, yet they find themselves working ceaselessly without ever growing weary. Just as I work ceaselessly. You have only just complained of suffering, yet I have explained so much to you—do you see? So think about it: with that wisdom, how many days and hours must I have endured suffering before I could bestow this divine grace upon you? Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-66: Yes.

Mr. Tám-67: I have suffered more than you; it is not that you have suffered more than I have. I see that you are actually happier than I am! You sit there whilst I must serve you, and in this sacred time, the suffering I have endured over countless lifetimes is what enables me to speak these words. Do you see that?

Vô Vi Friend-67: Yes.

Mr. Tám-67: Therefore, you must cultivate that virtue: it is through this suffering that you cultivate the virtue of a Bodhisattva! Do you understand?

[another passage] ..........

Mr. Tám-68: … illusory; do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-68: Yes.

Mr. Tám-69: Your circumstances are illusory; illusion and reunion will teach you to return to true, to return to the truth. Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-69: Yes.

Mr. Tám-70: In the end, you’ll know to be blaming only yourself! Do not blame anyone else. Remember what I have said!

Everyone else is right, but I’m wrong. You’ve got to understand that, haven’t you?

Don’t go thinking you’re right for you’d be wrong: You’d be sticking your head through the gates of Hell, and will suffer even more – there’s no peace there.

Vô Vi Friend -70: (… inaudible).

Mr. Tám-71: Bodhisattva? A Bodhisattva must first be, let’s say, an ascetic, and only then, a Bodhisattva. One must live the Ascetic Bodhisattva Virtue; there is no scripture that speaks of a Blissful Bodhisattva Virtue! There is no such thing! Ascetic Bodhisattva Virtue! [30:17]

That‘s why, to become a Bodhisattva, one must suffer more than ordinary people, suffer more than animals, suffer more than all living beings. That’s it; it’s certainly not a life of pleasure!

But after suffering comes eternal happiness! So, they accept suffering in order to enjoy eternal bliss in the future. Do you understand?

Vô Vi Friend-71: Yes

Mr. Tám-72: So, you...

Vô Vi Friend-73: Mr Tam, I’ve heard that Dung is suffering; she hasn’t complained as much as…

Mr. Tám-73: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-74: When I was her age… I suffered a great deal too.

Mr. Tám-74: Of course!

Vô Vi Friend-75: But I prayed to the Almighty, Teacher,

Mr. Tám-75: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-75.1: I prayed to the Almighty; as it was my lot to suffer now,

Mr. Tám-75.1: Yes, yes!

Vô Vi Friend-75.2: Then that ‘s it, let me sacrifice my life. [30:17]

Mr. Tám-75.2: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-75.3: I will raise my children to adulthood.

Mr. Tám-75.3: Yes.

Vô Vi Friend-75.4: I vowed to do so; and a while later now I find peace!

Mr. Tám-75.4: Of course!

Vô Vi Friend-75.5: I am poor, mother and children we are poor, but we look after each other and together raise ourselves.

Mr. Tám-75.5: There you go!

Vô Vi Friend-75.6: I’ve raised my children to adulthood, marry them off, and now I have plenty of free time, Teacher!

Mr. Tám-75.6: There you go!

Vô Vi Friend-75.7: I’m free! Back then, I suffered so much! So many tears, I cried more times than I could count.

Mr. Tám-75.7: After all that suffering, you are happy now! Do you see that clearly?

Vô Vi Friend-75.7: Yes. Now I can clearly see that I’m happy!

Mr. Tám-75.8: Right. That’s why we’ve learnt patience and harmony; now it’s easier to live the spiritual cultivation path!

Vô Vi Friend-75.8: Yes.

Mr. Tám-75.8: Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-75.8: Yes.

Mr. Tám-76: If you hadn’t been patient and tolerant, you’d have killed all of your children by now! You wouldn’t have been able to bear it all!

Vô Vi Friend-76: Yes, yes! Once the children had all grown up, I was able to set out searching for the spiritual path; I found for this place to learn to cultivate spiritually!

But even after crossing the border and and coming here, I still suffered, Mr. Tám! [31:49]

Mr. Tám-76: Yes!

Vô Vi Friend-77: But I went, I went together, together with Trung’s dad,

Mr. Tám-77: Yes?

Vô Vi Friend-77.1: … he also scolded me, saying, “People all around are watching! So, even at the last minute, I still fell victim of that!

Mr. Tám-77.1: Favouring one side and neglecting the other is a worldly trait! (laughs). Now that you’re practicingspiritual cultivation, you love everyone!

Vô Vi Friend-77.1: Yes, Teacher.

Mr. Tám-77.2: It’s thanks to him that you’re practising spiritual cultivation! Now things are calm; don’t you see?

Vô Vi Friend-77.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-77.3: Well, you’ll have to save him later on! As I’ve said, “It was thanks to the dog’s barking that I ran into the temple, there I saw the Buddha, I came to like the Buddha, so I set out in search of the Buddha’s truth!”

As it turns out, nobody was at fault! (laughs) So, let’s get on with our spiritual practice and go back to save the dog, shall we?

Vô Vi Friend-77.3: Yes.

Mr. Tám-77.4: Nothing to it!

[another passage]..........

Mr. Tám-78: As for the spirit, you ask, ‘Do you have knowledge?’

He says, “Yes!”

“Now, can you take that knowledge and place it on the table?”

He cannot! Yet, it exists in the non-existence!

Then, ask him further: “Do you have knowledge?”

“I do!”

But, “Go on, place your knowledge on the table!”

“I cannot do that!”

“Well then, what you have, does it exist?”

He says: “Yes, it exists!” He confirms, “It exists but, in the non-existence, there is existence!” Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-78: Yes.

Mr. Tám-79: Non-existent means already on the light aspect; and now that you are on the light side, if there’s a method that can purify you so that you feel light, then you’ll be able to see yourself, right? Ah!

It is only then that we realise we are deluded, that we have brought ourselves into turmoil and have forgotten our true selves! Do you see? [33:16]

So, even now, many of us, that is, people from Vietnam, who have crossed the border and arrived to the island, in our desperation, say: “When I get to go over there and manage to earn some money, I’ll definitely set aside half my wages to help my brothers still on the island!”

But once many of them get here, they eventually forget all about the island, they even forget the refugee island, the refugees who are left stranded and lonely, they don’t even bother to help them! And it’s precisely these people who had promised: “I’ll give a third of my wages to you lot!” But in the end, have they given any single penny? No, they’ve completely forgotten! Do you see?

That‘s why, we’ve come down here from up there, and then forgotten our way back!

We left our spirit and entered this physical form; it went through all such chaos, we forget our way back; and then we find ourselves adrift… often, that is, when families are in turmoil, or spouses betraying one another, then we feel adrift; many people even want to end their lives just to be done with it! Going adrift! Do you see? [34:16]

Vô Vi Friend-79: Yes.

Mr. Tám-80: That‘s why, now that we have grasped the principle of harmony with the entire Cosmos, let us go home; why keep being foolish any longer? Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend 80: Yes.

Mr. Tám-81: It’s because before we didn’t know the way, but now that we have understood, why should we stay here?

This physical body is merely a means to an end; it doesn’t know to suffer pain.

The one suffering pain is more our spirit, while existing, our spirit while still existing within our physical body, that knows to feel pain!

And once we have died, we no longer know to feel pain!

Vô Vi Friend-81: Yes.

Mr. Tám-82: Therefore, a dead body, even if you chop it up, it feels no pain! It is the spirit that feels the pain. That is why, when husband and wife fall out, a single remark can cause such deep hurt!

Vô Vi Friend-82: Yes!

Mr. Tám-83: It’s heartbreaking, it isn’t flesh-breaking; you see? (laughs) One word, and the sibblings get angry; one word, and it pains their hearts so deeply. And no one had scrapped them!

When we come to fully understand, when we realise that the Father is infinite, then Heaven is also infinite!

Vô Vi Friend 83: Yes.

Mr. Tám-84: But as for the love of, of the Father of Mankind, only Heaven is the Father of Mankind! Heaven exists from … because it is from every state that Heaven comes to exist! [35:25]

Vô Vi Friend-84: Yes.

Mr. Tám-85: So now, aren’t you coming into existence from all states? Your physical body is structured by the supernatural: when you look at the withered blades of grass, when you see the beautiful flowers, you are very happy too;aren’t you?

Vô Vi Friend-85: Yes!

Mr. Tám-85.1: There! You planted a tree at home and it has produced a flower, you’re absolutely delighted; aren’t you?

Vô Vi Friend-85.1: Yes!

Mr. Tám-86: There! As we have come to existence from all states, we can perceive that the external state is one; do you see? And therefore we also are the Father of this Microcosm: this physical body is composed of water, fire, wind and earth, the four elements combined! One day it must disintegrate; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-86: Yes!

Mr. Tám-87: Right. There is water, there is fire, there is heat, there is wind: which is the breath; there is earth, which is the body; and there is this piece of flesh; you see? It is the combination of these four that forms your physical form. This form is temporary; it is not your true form!

In your true form, your face is not like that at all!

Vô Vi Friend -87: Yes!

Mr. Tám-88: You won’t put up with dirt, you won’t put up with heaviness! Wherever you want to go, as soon as you think of it, you ought to fly there. But now you have to drive for several tens of minutes before you get there! That is already a source of vexation; that is not a part of concerns! They are merely temporary means to awaken the heart and mind.

This scenery is a temporary scenery; the school of life is an examination hall where we are being tested, to see if you can cope!

You talk of patience, but can you really be patient? Do you see?

Have you been able to clearly see your own success yet?

It asks so many questions! Round the clock, 24 hours a day, so many things within our heart ask questions and demand attention.

Until we understand ourselves, that is the end!

That’s why, if you wish to practise spiritual cultivation, you must first find yourself, and then you will find everything.

If you do not discover yourself, but go seeking this or that deity or saint, in the end you will find nothing, and you will lose yourself!

That’s why, whatever correct spiritual teaching people may impart, be it this or that, in the end, they all teach meditation.

Meditate, so that you may see yourself; meditate, so that you may see your past karma; meditate, so that you may come to understand your transgressions; meditate, and you will clearly see your faults, and you will repent, because there are many sorrows in your heart that you cannot express to the world.

Vô Vi Friend -88: Yes.

Mr. Tám-88.1: Do you see?

It is only through meditation that you can understand and correct yourself, for even if others were to tell you, you would even simply deny it. Do you see? [38:06]

Vô Vi Friend -88.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-88.2: Everyone has their own sense of pride, so those who have attained enlightenment never point the finger at others; rather, they speak in such a way as to shed light on the matter, so that others may see for themselves and correct their own behaviour; do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-88.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-89: But in this world, everyone is always building a wall of pride around themselves, thereby obscuring their own capacity for harmony. Often, a single teasing remark is enough to make them get angry and walk away.

That is pride! It means missing out on opportunities!

If we can break down the wall of self-importance, we can be harmonious.

I asked you: you’re in the business world and get on well with people from all walks of life; you’re so happy about it: as soon as you pick up the phone, they’re already giving you the news! You’re better off than everyone else, aren’t you? See?

Then, when you practise spiritual cultivation, you learn to love everyone, so no one will come to disturb you. It benefits you by giving you the opportunity to progress towards serenity; do you see? [39:06]

Vô Vi Friend -89: Yes.

Mr. Tám-89.1: Ah. That is why the wall of self-importance in this world causes people to stagnate immensely. The very nature of self-centredness is of no benefit to oneself; indeed, it causes one to fall ill, and “illness stems from one’s temperament”:

“My temperament is peculiar and hot-headed, so I suffer from this illness, that illness, and the other; whereas if my temperament were more easy-going, I would suffer less, and live longer!”

If one accepts this, but not that, one becomes angry and irritated; that is the beginning of illness! A single incident can cause a sleepless night; and that is the beginning of illness!

Instead, when we come to terms with whatever has happened, we always sleep more peacefully and feel healthier; don’t we? We don’t make ourselves ill. [39:52] So, let’s ask ourselves: are we wise, or foolish?

Surely, lightness of heart is the wisest thing! When we gaze upon the world’s sky, the lightness at its heights, that is the wisest thing! And the filthy people in this world, are the most foolish!

Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend-89.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-90: People are fighting and killing one another left, right and centre; in the end, it all comes to nothing! Just like Sun Wukong, with his 72 magical transformations, but who can he actually defeat now? In the end, he has to follow the spiritual cultivation path, doesn’t he? He has to follow the Buddhist path!

That‘s why, within us lies serenity: “All beings can attain Buddhahood”; everyone possesses the heart of a Buddha! When we retreat into ourselves after a period of turmoil, we realise how deep the true value of peace and contentment really extends. Do you see?

That is why, in this world, many people who practise spiritual cultivation, when we go and ask them: ‘Can I practice spiritual cultivation?’

They say: “You still have karma!” But many people hear the word ‘karma’ without really knowing what it means.

“Karma” is created by our own temperament: we take offence at this person or that; whenever we harbour negative intentions, we reap negative consequences: “As one sows, so shall one reap”; and thus our karma accumulates. With so much karma accumulated, we feel preoccupied; how can we practise spiritual cultivation? [41:13]

“So I must focus on resolving my karma, on accumulating merit to lighten the burden, to help unravel some of that karma; only then can I attain serenity”; do you see?

Everyone in this world has karma; there is no one without it. Those who practise spiritual cultivation the true path, they accumulate good karma, whilst those who do not practise spiritual cultivation accumulate bad karma.

Vô Vi Friend-90: Yes.

Mr. Tám-90.1: It has two kinds of karma: Good karma, like the Buddha Shakyamuni who now has attained enlightenment and possesses good karma, so spiritual adenpts or sentient beings respectfully think of and call upon Him: ‘Namo Bhagavā Śākyamuni Buddha’; and like Jesus Christ: whom many people think of and call upon, is also good karma, and by calling upon Him, we are set free from and can let go of sorrow, distress and evil impulses—this is called good karma.

As for the bad karma in this world, it lies in gossip and slander, which breed more and more evil: one person insults another, shouting abuse, until it leads to a bloody massacre. Is that not evil?

Vô Vi Friend-90.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám-90.2: Right? That is why, in this world, there is both bad karma and good karma:

Those who practise spiritual cultivation and contemplate the Al-Mighty, accumulate good karma and their burden is lighter.

As for those with bad karma, it is heavier and more oppressive. Right?

Vô Vi Friend -90.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-91: That‘s why, anyone who has the opportunity to become human, it is an immense honour to be human. So many animals are watching us, “How could I get to be a human, able to stand and move about so freely?”

But when people look at animals, many say: ‘Why is it animals don’t have to worry? I, on my own, have to worry about paying off debts, going to work to support five or seven children—it’s such a struggle!’ and so on and so forth… They sigh inwardly, “I’d be better off as an animal than as a human!” Many people say that! (laughs) Yes, and that wish does arise later on! That is due to ignorance, narrow-mindedness, and seeing our own circumstances as: “Why must I alone have to support all these people?’

But it doesn’t realise that it has the opportunity to repay its karma, the chance to settle its debts so that it will no longer be in debt! But it remains unaware!

That‘s why, while a human being, happily settle your karmic debts; alright?

However much you owe, pay it back! People have deceived and cheated you means: “I’ve found my creditor and have paid them back, so now I’m at peace! Why should I stir up hatred and bloodshed, only to have to pay for it again in my next life?” You see? That way, you always feel at ease.

Now, in this world, the number of people you can actually get to know isn’t that many; even just a thousand close friends would be enough to kill you, wouldn’t it?

Vô Vi Friend -91: Yes.

Mr. Tám-91.1: A thousand close friends is more than you could ever eat; it’s enough to kill you! So, why create evil in the first place? “If this one is lost, I’ll go elsewhere; if I cánt eat this patch of grass, I’ll run over to that patch over there and eat!” A good horse isn’t afraid of going hungry! Do you understand that point? [44:21]

Vô Vi Friend-91.1: Yes.

Mr. Tám: That’s why, many people lose their money and wealth, go mad and end up committing suicide! That is a terrible mistake! Because they think there was only that one patch of grass!

There is no shortage of grass! “When this patch of grass is gone, I still have another!” Do you see?

Vô Vi Friend -91.2: Yes.

Mr. Tám-92: “These people do not know me; I have others; but as long as I do not harbour ill thoughts towards them, I am at peace”; do you see?

“And I have a sense of balance: my vehicle’s engine runs smoothly, so when I’m on the road, I just carry on, travelling all the way to the end!”

It doesn’t end there; it’s infinite! Even the path of this world is infinite, let alone the path to Heaven! Do you see?

That’s why, the transformations in our innermost organ systems are boundless! From childhood to adulthood, we have witnessed this boundlessness: as children, we did not know how to speak or go to work and go about our daily lives; now we know how to speak, how to go to work, how to go about everything in our daily lives, and understand all manner of things. Then, we move from one circumstance to another, from having money to having not a penny to our name! And yet we always recover!

This is the innate capacity for rebirth that everyone possesses! Therefore, no one can destroy anyone else!

That’s why, we should cultivate love and forgiveness, and the spirit of building for all! Brothers and sisters from the samefamily, we breathe in and out together: the strong breathe in and out, and so do the weak; the rich breathe in and out, and so do the poor; all in the same way; there is no difference whatsoever!

But we still quibble over this, that and the other: ‘That woman’s diamond is big,’ or ‘My diamond is small, that person’s pearl is big, this one is small; that fellow’s house is big, this fellow’s is small!” So they bicker amongst themselves, when in fact there is only one, they are all from the same family, not far apart! [46]

You see, the Americans, Vietnamese, French and Chinese, what are they? Aren’t they all the same? They all breathe in and out; what more can they do? And aren’t they all subject to the cycle of birth, ageing, sickness and death? They’ve got the same five visceral and four sensory systems as we do.

Looked around the world, do you see anyone different from anyone else? They’re all the same, aren’t they? (laughs)

Many people say: “I’m Chinese, so I’m different; I’m Vietnamese, so I’m different; that bloke’s Western, so he’s differen!” What a mess!

Ah! When the world achieves love and morality, there will be a thousand years of peace! Nothing else!

Now, to be honest, if we shared everything - spending, eating, going out - we’d never use it all up!

Though this one person complains of being poor, and another complains of being poor, but in reality there’s no poverty!

Let ‘s just agree to share with one another equally, and we will see! We are not going to die from it!
