Tâm rộng, trí khai, an bài rõ rệt.
V
Thần kinh bất ổn, cảnh an vi thuần túy tan biến dần, chỉ biết than Trời trách Đất!
Than ơi!
Thấm thía và chung sống an vui.
Vui đời vui đạo, cuộc sống an vui.
Nhưng không lâu, thời tiết thay đổi, gió mưa bất thường, hoa tàn nhụy rơi, hạt giống phải chịu định luật hóa hóa sanh sanh mà tiến hóa. Hạt giống bị chôn vùi dưới đất tự phấn đấu vươn lên cây khác;

A LIFE IN THIS MORTAL WORLD
My name is Luong Si Hang; I was born in 1923 and have lived in this transient world for a full 74 years, devoting myself to spiritual practice and study, overcoming countless instances of deceit and treachery in the treacherous ways of the world, ranging from the lightness to the heaviness of both body and mind; I have fallen into the painful and devastating suffering caused by war, feeling both myself and the people to be in immense hardship, and thus have always sought to find justice in society and in Heaven and Earth. It is through this dedication to spiritual practice that I have come to realise the vital energy of Heaven and Earth is of the utmost importance to life.
Through the shifting forces of nature—the devastating storms and floods that left homes in ruins across Central Vietnam, which I had witnessed since childhood—I had the opportunity to see the Eight Immortals flying past at a moment of extreme peril. At that moment, my mind was free from anxiety about the hunger and destitution that were about to befall our entire family. Then, following the powerful shifts in the cosmic order, everything returned to normal; everyone rejoiced together and set about rebuilding a new life.
From then on, I began to seek out the mysteries of Heaven and Earth, taking pleasure in listening to the sutras chanted in the temple. Night after night, whilst out playing, I would often stop by the places where people gathered in orderly rows to chant; standing by the window looking in, I would be so captivated by the words of the sutras that they moved my heart so deeply I wouldn’t even swat away a mosquito bite.
As I grew older, I found myself increasingly swept up in the turbulent sea of money, love, and karma, yet I found no joy—only suffering and humiliation. At such times, I would recall the Buddha Shakyamuni practising meditation in solitude; this story struck a chord deep within my soul, and day and night I reflected on the arduous efforts he had made.
Fate smiled upon me once more when I encountered the ‘Science of the Mysteries of the Dharma: The Law of Non-Action’.
Since then, day and night I have devoted myself to chanting the Buddha’s name, seeking to awaken to and resolve all the delusions I have harboured over the many years I have lived in this transient world.
Thanks to my resolute and diligent practice, meditating night after night regardless of hardship and suffering—practising whether I had money or not—I remain healthy to this day and am able to work even more than when I was young. Thanks to the ‘Dharma of Non-Action, Mystical Science and Buddhist Teachings’, I am now able to comprehend many things at once without straining my mind or exhausting my intellect; I feel as though I am doing nothing whilst doing, speaking as though I am not speaking, and remain at all times serene and light-hearted, with abundant vital energy whilst serving in any field.
I hope that readers of this book will realise their own capacity to have faith in and love the Dharma; if they practise meditation, they will achieve the same results as I have.
We shall bring the light of compassion to the earth; only then can we bring shared joy, peace and happiness to the people of this planet, automatically and decisively putting an end to greed and anger, and together turning towards purity whilst praying for the awakening of the human heart and for peace and joy.
MEDITATION
Through the long days of struggling with life, everyone grows weary and longs for moments of rest and comfort, yet cannot seem to find a suitable method to practise. We are compelled to focus on past karma and relationships, our hearts trampled upon and afflicted by illness with no way out. The turbulent pages of history have passed and are now undergoing profound, extremely arduous transformations; only now are we beginning to seek the fundamental principles of the survival of Heaven and Earth.
Only when one realises that amidst all the clamour and commotion, everything will eventually return to its source, and that one’s own inner order harmonising with Heaven and Earth is of the utmost value, will one be content to seek an escape for oneself—that is, through spiritual cultivation. Cultivating within this order, attaining inner purity—only through meditation can one achieve balance and enlightenment, and develop the mysteries of the inner self.
It is a unique privilege to be born human, endowed with an infinitely vibrant mind. With a clear and light mind, achieved by resolutely letting go of preconceived notions, and by practising meditation with sincerity, one can naturally resolve the karmic burdens of the mind. Be content to keep your tongue still and your teeth clenched whilst chanting the Buddha’s name until the ‘dian xin’—the centre of the heart—is opened. When vital energy is stabilised and the ‘dianxin’ harmonises with the essence of the universe, the soul becomes increasingly aware of the profound mysteries of Heaven and Earth and acts accordingly; both mind and body will find peace. In harmony with the primordial energy of Heaven and Earth, sound will be harmonised and become evocative.
Only through meditation practised in accordance with the Dharma—discarding impurities and cultivating purity—can one attain the essence of Heaven and Earth to act for the complete salvation of all sentient beings, through the truthful words one has personally realised. Only through meditation can one gather the Divine Essence; only through the Divine Essence can one harmonise with the realm of the Divine, develop the practitioner’s superconsciousness, and merge with the compassionate light and sublime sound of the All-Powerful Being of Great Compassion, wholeheartedly dedicating oneself to serving all sentient beings, guiding the spiritual development to infinity—without borders, without limits—truly realising love and morality.
It is a stroke of good fortune to have heard of the self-awareness meditation practice known as the ‘Mystical Science of Non-Action in Buddhist Doctrine’—a teaching encompassing all teachings; only through practice will one reach the luminous realm of Heaven and Earth.

I
THE UNIVERSE AND HUMANITY
The human physical body is intimately connected to the vibrations of the Universe: the internal organs—including the heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys—comprise elements such as metal, wood, water, fire and earth, which are formed in an orderly manner, manifesting as the five colours, the five lights, the mystical colours and the mystical lights, circulating through the sea of blood that flows throughout the body; the upright spine represents the universe, dividing the pathways that absorb and emit the universe’s energy, and safeguarding the life of the five viscera. All structures are exquisitely intricate yet natural and spontaneous.
Through the principle of the creation of Heaven and Earth, humankind is the virtuous agent of Heaven and Earth, carrying out the details of survival and evolution; this is summarised as the ‘Microcosm’: what exists externally is reflected internally; by corresponding with and perceiving the pure and impure colours of Heaven and Earth, one develops one’s spirituality.
All forms and manifestations arise from a single principle: their origin lies in the Purity that radiates through a gentle, subtle magnetic field known as the ‘Sublime Dharma’: existence and non-existence coexist and evolve.
Failure to comprehend this principle is called ‘greed’: mistakenly believing one has truly mastered and understood it; in reality, one knows only a small part of it!
Its ultimate outcome is either infinite light or infinite darkness, lying within the law of balance between humankind and the Universe.
The same applies to the spiritual practitioner: one must thoroughly understand the principle of non-birth and act accordingly, so that all matters may remain steadfast within the cycle of evolution.
By cultivating the inner mind and developing a spiritual nature transcending the mundane whilst in this world, one will see the path of cultivation clearly; only then can one devote oneself to practising the Dharma and developing the all-encompassing, non-arising and imperishable power of the mind; and intuitively perceive the profound, transcendent truth hidden within the realm of purity. Resolutely practise the dual cultivation of life and the Way; cherish the courageous evolution of all sentient beings currently on their path with resolute spirit; willingly turn towards purity to practise and develop a balanced, self-realised spiritual path. Connect with the sublime current of Great Compassion to serve all sentient beings; progressing from the first stage, integrating with the supernatural to evolve—being formless and without appearance—one will not be limited in the advancement of the spirit.
WORLDLY COMPETITION
The world is divided into Asians and Europeans, all practising and advancing according to the principles of Heaven and Earth. Gathered in one place to confine the spirit. Developing desires within the cycle of evolution. The world of the city is illusory; therefore, all that is of great importance will eventually return to nothingness. Only when the spiritual essence of the soul develops upwards, and subsequently converges upon the radiant, unborn and undying source, will it be able to endure.
People follow one another in pursuit of progress amidst division and strife. Ultimately, it will all come to nothing! For both the physical body and the mind are limited. Unless one encounters a method of self-cultivation and self-enlightenment, one cannot attain the foundation of emptiness and purity . Only then will one truly sense that the connection between Heaven and Earth is truly boundless. If one is content to turn towards the realm of purity and evolve, transcending the frequencies of defilement, only then will one realise that the value of nobility lies in self-salvation. Conversely, clinging to delusion only invites suffering into the heart!
The path to self-salvation is very difficult to find, but to obtain the Dharma and yet fail to practise it will only lead to greater suffering. Day by day, one loses self-mastery, adrift in this world amidst the trials of love, money, karma and fate, caught in the inescapable cycle of the four sufferings. The entire body is formed from the cosmic energy of Heaven and Earth, yet one never considers that one possesses the virtuous energy to awaken oneself and others. Forgetting the order of Heaven and Earth, failing to cultivate true speech and purity, completely losing one’s spiritual grounding, lacking humility and forbearance—this gives rise to mental disorders and delusional theories; one fails to develop one’s own intuition, craves power and influence, and commits suicide without realising it. One seizes what belongs to Heaven and Earth, mistakenly believing it to be one’s own; though laden with gold and silver, one cannot escape at the moment of death. Reincarnating through the Six Realms, one sacrifices one’s body and flesh yet has not fully atoned for one’s sins! The soul remains imprisoned within the physical form.
This is the state of an unfinished, sinful soul; realising that one has not yet progressed, one must cultivate both mind and body and practise correctly so that the true mind may have the opportunity to develop in the direction of noble self-awareness, and thus find a way out in the future. Only by casting aside all strife and stinginess can the true mind achieve perfection, cultivating virtue and plucking flowers to offer to the Buddha—flowers that will never wither for a thousand years.
PROGRESS TOWARDS PEACE
Understanding the principles of Heaven and Earth brings a clear sense of the nurturing and building power of the cosmic light, which stirs and guides the evolution of the spirit. One naturally feels tender and gentle, for everything is arranged by the Supreme Being; the stream of love from the mystical path flows ceaselessly, and the mind remains serene and at ease. Noble sentiments and a spirit of service become more evident during meditation. Faith grows ever more steadfast. Each and every one remains in harmony with the principles of Heaven and Earth. Sun and rain, in all their forms, are the music of Heaven and Earth in their work of creation and guidance.
Therefore, those who practise meditation never fear suffering. They willingly immerse themselves in hardship. They develop the initiative to save themselves and build God’s spiritual realm with ever-greater vigour. Comprehend this truth thoroughly and practise it in purity; advance whilst practising forbearance and humility; follow a path in harmony with nature and innocence, and your mind and body will shine brightly, sowing karmic connections everywhere as you progress.
To illuminate the wordless true scripture is to unfold the inherent essence of the realm of the true mind in practice; the mortal ‘Microcosm’ becomes a harmonious, resonant order within the luminous universe as it advances. Inner and outer realms interconnect; the mind remains calm and aware. Possessing boundless lightness and openness, its radiance shines brilliantly in all four directions. Taking refuge in right enlightenment, one develops to the infinite. The practice of the Dharma expands the mind, harmonising with the pure realm. Taking refuge in the sublime and eternal, there are no longer illusions, nor is there any further action. Filled with genuine love and compassion, the narrow-minded nature dissolves of its own accord. Living joyfully and practising within this order. Evolving in this sequential manner, one will never encounter difficulties that cannot be resolved.
Putting love and morality into practice saves both oneself and others in the future. When the innate virtuous karma within the heart develops and harmonises with the great natural order in one’s actions, only then can true peace be brought to one another. Each and every thing is formed through the combination of willpower. Whether travelling or staying put, there is nothing to harbour resentment about within the heart; one is always at peace and ever progressing.
Maintain a resolute stance in the spirit of forbearance. This is the guiding principle for advancing towards a harmonious and peaceful future.
SERVING AND RESONATING WITH PEACE
Throughout the ages, the foundations of civilisation have been extolled, yet no one has ever stood firm upon the earth! No matter how cunning one’s schemes may be, they cannot endure alongside the immense wealth one has oneself created. Beyond the laws of Life lie the laws of Heaven.
There must be both giving and receiving for there to be balance. To be strong and healthy, and to have the opportunity to serve all living beings, is a blessing bestowed by Heaven to be practised temporarily in this world; this is to act on Heaven’s behalf. Only when one’s mind is in balance can one truly serve all living beings.
Balance is the very essence of Heaven and Earth. There must be coming and going. Gathering and dispersing are impermanent, lying within the principle of existence and non-existence, sifting and educating all sentient beings on this Earth. Those who understand the principle of transformation and creation of Heaven and Earth will naturally reduce unnecessary desires and fulfil what is necessary for themselves and their wisdom; that is, they must change their direction to move upwards rather than downwards.
Moving upwards offers the opportunity for infinite progress; conversely, moving downwards leads only to strife and scramble. Without the joy of life, how can one achieve peaceful coexistence? One may constantly yearn for and call for peace, yet peace will never be attained.
Save yourself before you can save others! If you do not know how to save yourself, you cannot save anyone else. Drawing borders whilst forgetting Heaven and Earth means a lifetime of strife and anxiety that leads nowhere.
What comes from Heaven returns to Earth; no one can hold on to any precious possession in this world before leaving their physical form. The physical body is returned in its entirety to the earth. It is only when the soul leaves the body that one realises the power of Heaven and Earth, governed by clear laws of cause and effect. No one is even a hair’s breadth better off than anyone else. The laws are utterly fair.
The physical body, tightly sealed, is always enamoured with the path of competition. Only upon entering the earth does it come to accept its dissolution and return to nothingness. Only then does one clearly see that the Way is inherently empty, and willingly practise within the cycle of evolution for the next life.
Only then does one clearly perceive the commitment to harmonious peace within the light of the Supreme
; only when nothing remains in the consciousness will there be true peace within the principle of the dual cultivation of life and the Way. The Will of Heaven is shifting—and is already shifting—so that humanity may clearly understand the suffering and the divine, transcendent nature of the soul; only then will true resonance with peace be achieved.
HATE – COMPLETE LOVE
The principle of Heaven and Earth is very clear, in the process from sunshine to rain: – Scorching sunshine is no different from Heaven hating sentient beings. Just as a revolution helps people develop their own inherent abilities to create coolness, enabling the physical body to find tranquillity in harmony and stability. – Rain may bring dangerous floods, yet it also offers salvation to all living beings. It is through water that life sustains itself and progresses within the law of transformation and rebirth.
One must personally accept and practise finding ways to protect oneself in life. – Ultimately, both rain and sunshine are beneficial, ranging from destruction to construction.
This self-evident principle awakens the human mind to recognise that the power of Heaven and Earth is boundless in its role in creation. From the vast and expansive, it condenses into a single entity—the Microcosm—living amidst the interplay of existence and non-existence whilst evolving.
Spiritual self-awareness is such wisdom, responsibility and ceaseless service that, through evolution from
the realm of the tangible and perishable towards the intangible; only then can one perceive that the soul is unborn and indestructible. Returning to the strict law of the unborn to evolve, one merges with the infinite light that has always awaited and continues to await. Each individual must practise diligently to achieve results; only good causes yield good effects.
Truly, it is a uniquely intricate and orderly arrangement ordained by God: people are preoccupied with making a living, pursuing self-interest, and indulging in hedonism, whilst the soul, steeped in this transient existence, departs empty-handed! Every spirit on Earth must pass through a purification process by God’s intricate network, guided by the radiant light leading to the infinite. Only when one cultivates to a state of purity, and is able to hear and understand, can one be called civilised. The Civilisation of Heaven and Earth is one of comprehensive understanding across all aspects. All who bear mortal forms learn the lessons of joy and suffering alike.
God’s psychological balance of divine light has been created with utmost clarity and fairness. Only by understanding the principle of the non-birth and imperishability of Heaven and Earth can one practise with peace of mind in any corner of the world.
With this understanding, there is no need for unnecessary anxiety, and one can practise purity at any stage. Whether in existence or non-existence, the soul remains ever serene as it progresses on the spiritual path.
The interconnections of Heaven and Earth are intricate yet unobstructed.
Only through self-cultivation and self-improvement can one clearly perceive this.
BEASTS AND HUMANITY
From the creation of heaven and earth until now, the primordial energy of Heaven and Earth has been intimately involved in the construction of the spiritual realm, forming the laws of transformation and creation, establishing a spiritual framework that enables the masses to defend themselves, recognise their own malicious desires and lust, and then repent and seek progress rather than regression.
On the surface, there is the beauty of shared joy and peace, the beauty of lush, wild forests; each has its beginning and end: bees have a queen, the mountains and forests have a ruler, and humankind has leaders…; each is established to help us understand ourselves.
Over countless centuries, we have practised understanding others whilst neglecting ourselves; consequently, our evolution has been extremely slow. In terms of intellect and spirituality, we have been constrained by unfulfilled desires, and ultimately we must let go and move on, cycling through many lifetimes yet reaching nowhere! Suffering begets suffering, and there is no progress.
Unless spiritual seeds become aware of their true selves, only then will they have the opportunity to return to the true
essence of the spiritual practitioner, and only then can they illuminate the intricate structure formed within the human mind and body, knowing how to turn towards purity and save themselves. Desires shift towards the higher, seeking the supernatural light that has always existed and continues to be present in the creation of all living beings, moving and progressing together in accordance with their existing capacity.
It is truly a long-term and orderly endeavour of God, ceaseless in the spirit of service and spiritual development.
Those who practise meditation and perceive this will always feel at peace and at ease. To act as if not acting, to speak as if not speaking, to do as if not doing—only then does one realise that ‘returning to emptiness’ is the true Dharma.
If one remains deluded by conceptual distinctions, one will be confined within the constraints of evolution, losing the foundation of sincerity and flexibility. One will resort to restrictive rituals that bind mind and body, engaging in unnecessary actions rather than what is essential.
What is essential is lightness and purity—that is, the supernatural light—which is always ready to shine upon all realms as one progresses towards it. Therefore, practitioners of the Way of Non-Action must pay close attention to this supernatural aspect. Only by constantly practising in purity and cultivating this state can one clearly perceive happiness and resonate with all beings within the realm of purity.
Cherish oneself and love others clearly, never harbouring doubts or binding the mind and body.
THE MYSTICAL SUTRA
Position and order refer to the place of all beings upon the earth; flexibility in harmony with the mystical realm of purity, and the unimpeded flow of energy channels within the ‘Minor Heaven and Earth’—that is, the physical body—enables one to perceive the needs of the ‘Minor Heaven and Earth’ from the inside out.
When a person’s internal organs are unblocked and healthy, and they absorb the natural energy of the universe, the source of life becomes abundant, supply and demand become clear, and the mind will achieve a balance known as ‘economy’, cycling ceaselessly, naturally attaining harmony and auspicious connections, possessing creativity, engaging in unceasing exchange, with a rich and orderly flow, and resolving all blockages to achieve unimpeded flow.
Sincere wisdom serves to ensure the ‘Microcosm’ flourishes, with a pure spirit and a healthy body, continuing on the path of creation and development.
In this world, a nation without a wise leader who understands both the people and themselves will see its economic foundations crumble and fail to progress. Even if national sentiment is frequently extolled without an understanding of the people’s survival and structure, the economy cannot flourish.
Only when the people are prosperous can the nation be strong. Only when children are healthy can their parents be happy. Only when the people are happy will they be willing to contribute their inherent abilities in a spirit of service.
What is essential is a harmonious and balanced flow of activity.
The same applies to the spiritual realm; it must be practised in an orderly manner for the inner being to find peace.
The physical body, driven by desire, is akin to that of a beast; as it is beastly, it requires the wise guidance and nurturing of the soul to transcend the carnal desires that give rise to karmic obstacles in the future.
Ultimately, the responsibility of the soul is paramount; it must always act in harmony with Heaven and Earth. When the times are favourable, the land is bountiful and people are in harmony, wisdom is enlightened, the community flourishes, and one practises forbearance and builds both in worldly life and in the spiritual path, the economy will flourish and prosper.
We see other lands thriving, whilst our own remains destitute, because development is uneven, competition is misguided, and personal gain takes precedence over harmonious progress.
Sincere dedication leads to development in every direction. By joining the common path of evolution, success will arise from within. Continuous practice, combined with the energetic vibrations of Heaven and Earth, will ensure that all endeavours are successfully realised in the future.
Be mindful in the pursuit of a livelihood rather than being caught up in the chaos of it.
CONSCIENCE AND CAPABILITY
To understand and to act is moral wisdom and moral capacity. To understand but not to act is ignorance and incompetence. Without a willingness to commit, one can never evolve.
To act is to demonstrate the courage to survive; the opposite is weakness and spiritual loss.
Without cultivation, it is difficult to progress, difficult to understand and difficult to attain enlightenment. With an unopened mind and a closed heart, one imprisons one’s own spirit, wallowing in darkness and ignorance, clinging only to suffering and never able to resolve it. In such a perpetual state, one knows only hatred, fails to cultivate compassion, and remains trapped in delusion and turmoil throughout one’s life. The body decays into a ghost; the soul shrinks to the size of a cricket, slowly disintegrating in a pitiful manner. The less one understands oneself, the more one will disintegrate piece by piece.
It is a blessing for sentient beings to have the opportunity to perceive the changing circumstances and the workings of the cosmos; to educate people to awaken to self-awareness, to retreat into tranquillity and act accordingly—only then might they realise the Dharma and save themselves.
In this fleeting human existence, our final incarnation, to possess both mind and body yet refuse to act is to squander a human life in vain. To lack a firm stance and fail to build oneself up to influence future generations is no different from being a mindless object.
Upholding the true Dharma always sustains and fully liberates the awakened spirit. Heaven and Earth have created the primordial energy to sustain life, but it is a great pity that humankind only knows how to squander it, unwilling to save and improve themselves, deceiving themselves far too often. They become deluded, praising the Buddhas and Immortals yet never willing to endure the hardships they did; they merely rely on support, making offerings in a spirit of supplication and exploitation.
Worshipping God or the Buddha in one’s own bedroom is a grave sin. Placing images of the Immortals and the Buddha in places tainted by lust and debauchery, and then, when acting recklessly and defiantly, disregarding the sanctity of the Immortals and the Buddha—one unwittingly invites demons to possess one’s body. Having already found oneself in a tragic situation, one only adds to that misery, losing one’s conscience and moral capacity, and completely forfeiting one’s spiritual standing.
Those who preach the Buddha’s teachings without understanding the Buddha, twisting and turning the words to make them sound plausible, lose sight of the strict discipline required to practise the True Dharma. Their intuition remains unopened, their wisdom unawakened; their inner being is filled with resentment because, despite constant practice, they make no progress; they seek a wise teacher to learn the Way, yet their consciousness resists, rendering it all in vain.
Ultimately, one must practise and awaken oneself in order to achieve results in the future.
DEAF – MUTE
The deaf and mute fall into an abyss; they know not how to criticise, possess no depth, yet follow a single path with a sincere heart, directly connected to the primordial energy of Heaven and Earth. Their emotions are whole, silently accepting the present life amidst the interplay of existence and non-existence.
Living within a melancholic, stagnant ‘Microcosm’—that is, knowing yet being unable to act. Feeling the sun and rain from without shake one to the very core. What a torment for the soul!
That tormented love shakes the very cosmos; whether one is content or not, one must accept it. Only Heaven knows me, and I know Heaven! Gazing upon Heaven, I yearn to return to the light, to rejoice and progress together, to commune with all the splendours of Heaven and Earth.
Only when the soul awakens through suffering can one perceive the wondrous workings of Heaven and Earth, which have fashioned this mortal form to shelter the hidden soul.
Only by cherishing and lamenting the physical form can one perceive the ceaseless, boundless love that constantly reminds the mind from every passing moment.
True compassion, true love, true salvation—only Heaven’s love warms all living beings, uniting them as one. Love is vibrant and alive; the radiant circle of the universe bestows ceaseless grace upon the soul’s journey through life and death.
Within the cycle of birth and death, one practises through repentance and atonement; helpless in a life of misery, then plunged into the earthly tragedies that trample upon the heart, frustrated with no way out, yet the soul remains resolute in learning the principles bestowed by Heaven. As karmic and mental strength wane, it becomes difficult to navigate the path of life; one is constantly driven by desire, acting yet making no progress. The Law of Cause and Effect has clearly revealed the erroneous direction of the practitioner, who has destroyed the benevolent structure that God had ordained.
Over many lifetimes, the soul has begun to realise that it alone is at fault—no one else is to blame! Enduring the hardships of exile, existing in this earthly realm, it yearns to contribute to a positive energy field and help build a better future for all humanity.
The Four Directions of Heaven and the Ten Directions of the Buddhas unite to form the structure of human existence; let us act with faith and love in this building process. Cherish yourself, cherish Heaven and the Buddhas, and cherish your fellow human beings; act with genuine compassion and enlightenment in your heart—without borders, without war, and without rejecting the life bestowed by Heaven and Earth.
II
LIFE
Life is constantly confronted with the harsh realities of worldly existence, leading to discontent; the more turbulent it becomes, the more chaotic it grows. With an unilluminated mind and an unenlightened heart, demands grow ever greater; gradually, one loses one’s sense of integrity and becomes unclear about one’s own duties; one plunges into corruption, clinging to false hopes, and, in one’s delusion, mistakenly believes oneself to be wise. The laws of Heaven precede the laws of the world; they weave karmic ties and create karma; one’s spouse and children provide support; and education fosters the soul’s self-awareness.
Only after enduring many hardships do they yearn for tranquillity and seek the path of cultivation, following the example of those who have gone before.
Not knowing who one truly is, one creates arguments that run counter to the family’s traditions. As a father, one lacks rigour; as a mother, one lacks discipline and order. The consequence of this is scolding and irritability. With mind and body in turmoil, one suffers from chronic illness until death. Only upon leaving the physical body does one realise one’s own ignorance. One must progress in accordance with the law of cause and effect.
Only by willingly restoring the true and honest order of one’s own mind and progressing through the suffering of self-awareness can one be called ‘enlightened’.
When one realises one’s own error, the mind and body are already frail and aged; the vital energy of Heaven and Earth has been squandered, and the essence, energy and spirit have diminished; the intellect is not clear, the mind is not bright.
Gaze upon the image of the Buddha and revere His dedication to the Dharma. From the depths of suffering, distress and sorrow, a principle emerges that permeates all beings, leaving behind, for a thousand years in this world, images that are ever-vivid, ever-influential, and ever-guiding people towards purity, aligning their actions with the natural and innocent essence of Heaven and Earth.
A practitioner must be sincere to see themselves more clearly. The more clearly one sees oneself, the more one repents and atones, enduring humiliation to evolve—only then can one truly see. Enduring humiliation helps one feel at peace throughout the body and correct oneself; conversely, mere purity leads only to self-harm and stagnation.
Mental and physical instability also stem from the soul’s lack of clarity and purity.
One must practise the correct spiritual path to forge the key that unlocks the mind and opens wisdom. Only by being willing to cultivate and progress can one escape the allure of worldly attachments and the karmic forces accumulated over many lifetimes.
If one is willing to correct oneself, there will be purity, not defilement. The Heavenly Beings and the Buddhas await the evolution of sentient beings; then there will be a life of serenity and freedom. To live joyfully in forbearance and purity is to transcend the mundane.
Only by realising the wisdom of the mind can one attain a peaceful life. By not nurturing self-importance and willingly immersing oneself in the path of salvation, one comes to understand the value of pure light. By aspiring upwards to awaken wisdom and progress, one will no longer be preoccupied with worldly attachments, money, karma, or past connections.
THE WAY OF HEAVEN
To understand the love of Heaven, one must first know oneself; only then can one understand the love of Heaven. The subtlety of Heaven and Earth has formed an incredibly intricate physical form. The entire body and mind function automatically, guided by the life-force of Heaven and Earth into an orderly system.
Rice and fruit, in myriad colours and hues, transform to form a magnificent picture. This opens the path of wisdom for humankind, enabling them to see further and understand more broadly. All creatures cherish, sacrifice and strive to save all sentient beings. Only by harmonising with the vital energy of nature can one truly appreciate the necessity of a peaceful life.
The heart will open and the mind will awaken once one has come to realise this. Gradually, one begins to perceive that this wondrous physical form is structured by the supernatural. The more one comprehends the principles of transformation, generation and rebirth of Heaven and Earth, the more one cherishes the love bestowed by Heaven upon all sentient beings from this very moment.
Only then do we come to appreciate the boundless beauty of Heaven’s love, knowing only to cherish and no longer to harbour hatred. The laws of birth, existence, decay, extinction and rebirth are clear and continuous, evolving in the direction of the luminous salvation of Heaven and Earth. Through the process of stimulation and reaction in every aspect of nature, we finally turn our hearts towards the realm of purity and light to practise.
One automatically and decisively breaks away from the defiled attachments of worldly life to rectify and correct the irrational tendency towards competition. One turns towards the boundless and vast love of Heaven to practise.
Only then does one realise that one’s own understanding is very limited and lacking in purity; that one has not yet made any real progress, whether in worldly life or on the spiritual path; and only then does one realise that purity is a mystery, infinite and boundless.
Only through days of refinement by Heaven and Earth does one clearly see the errors of one’s own mind. Only by practising in silence can one dispel the mist obscuring the progress of the spirit.
The greater the purity, the clearer the depth of the mystical Way becomes. Cherish Heaven and Earth. Practise with simplicity and sincerity within purity. By acting in this way, one will have the opportunity to advance towards the realm of the Great Void of Heaven and Earth.
The pure light of Heaven’s love is ever ready to illuminate the spirit as it ascends; practising the removal of impurities and the cultivation of purity is essential to understanding Heaven’s love more deeply.
When the mind develops the Way, the soul will no longer be adrift. Only by uniting with Heaven and Earth is one a true practitioner.
The radiance of the soul is the glory of Heaven and Earth; find joy in purity and progress in peace.
THE WISDOM OF THE MIND
The wise mind is the root of spirituality. It is only through the turmoil and hardships of life that we have the opportunity to develop the wise mind amidst life’s trials. It is only by living through adversity that we awaken the mind and pave our own path to evolution.
By reflecting on one’s spiritual life in a realm of serenity, one awakens a love for Heaven and a longing to return to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The National Spirit awakens the spirit; only by liberating oneself from the confusion within can one formulate a great vow and reform oneself to evolve.
Only by devoting oneself wholeheartedly to spiritual cultivation can one perceive the ever-present love of Heaven within the heart. Through this, one develops the spiritual current connecting with Heaven and Earth to guide one’s actions.
The more one practises, the more one develops, advancing directly into the spiritual realm to learn without end. The mind will no longer be agitated. One will intuitively realise the state of non-birth and immortality.
Dedicate oneself to saving the world. Cultivate a compassionate heart. Harmonise with the sublime Great Compassion of Heaven and the Buddhas to save all sentient beings. Benevolent intentions resonate everywhere. Enter into the fabric of Heaven and Earth to develop within the realm of Great La.
One intuitively realises that the infinite principle is purity, advancing towards great enlightenment and the enlightenment of others across the three realms: Heaven, Earth and Humanity. Continuously acting across many lifetimes. Purity is the key to spirituality. The path of cultivation is brief. The true principle of existence is non-birth and non-contention.
Only that which can be heard and understood is called civilisation; ‘văn’ means to hear, and ‘minh’ means to understand. It is also known as the ‘Bích Ngọc’ people, the cherished children of Heaven. Standing is stillness. Walking is stillness. Sitting is stillness. Even when speaking, the mind remains still. Living perpetually in purity and clarity. To act as if not acting—only then is one worthy of Heaven’s will in one’s actions.
The True Dharma is neither excessive nor deficient. It is as perfect as a marble rolling from turbidity to clarity. Upon entering the Three Pure Realms, there shall be no more karma of merit or demerit. The mind, fully enlightened and pure, has passed through the refining process of Heaven and Earth.
Taking refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha means returning to the practitioner’s true, birthless and light essence—in complete samadhi and full enlightenment—and, through the compassionate light attained, being in infinite communion with all sentient beings; there will be no more disputes or erroneous reasoning.
To practise in silence is the path towards integration with the great purity.
HONESTY
Honesty means saying exactly what you mean, neither adding nor omitting anything, and neither criticising nor praising.
One’s mind is always at peace, one’s intellect remains open, and one is held in high regard by all. It is no different from Heaven and Earth: rain is simply rain, sunshine is simply sunshine. Everyone must follow this principle in their actions. Even if one is not content, one must accept it, cooperate and build together.
A truly honest practitioner speaks exactly as things are; to add or subtract is not true practice.
‘There is’ and ‘there is not’ are also the principles of Heaven and Earth, designed to guide the evolution of the souls of all living beings—to learn and learn, to nurture and nurture, and to rise up in an orderly manner.
Just as flowers, fruits and trees all have the opportunity to evolve with the changing seasons; they do so with honesty, order and harmony, in accordance with the laws of Heaven and Earth. Birth, existence, decay, destruction and rebirth are clearly evident. Each colour and hue is precise and unwavering, coming together to form a magnificent celestial painting, embodying the spirit of Heaven and Earth in every season. Progress follows the inherent, impartial course, with ranks clearly distinguished.
Those who lack sincerity, do not understand righteousness, and refuse to realise their true nature to correct themselves in accordance with the way of Heaven and Earth will only suffer loss and defeat. Upon leaving the physical body, they evolve in a realm of darkness and confusion. The world calls this the underworld. It is only when one is deprived in every respect that one becomes sincere, learns, and evolves.
If those living on Earth are willing to be honest and learn, they will avoid all the misfortunes that may befall them in life.
By practising meditation with an upward-turning mind, by acting and building oneself whilst turning towards the realm of purity and light, the soul’s future will no longer be one of bewilderment and will transcend the realm of darkness upon leaving the physical body. By turning towards the realm of purity and light, the compassionate, pure light of the Buddhas will shine upon them, guiding them to harmonise with the essence of Heaven and Earth and proceed directly towards a place of purity for further spiritual cultivation.
The soul’s existence will be deeply meaningful, elevated and free from stagnation. Acting in purity,
walking amidst clear evolution, walking to resolve all karmic forces that bind one in life. A peaceful mind saves all sentient beings, free from strife, free from self-interest, free from worldly status; the mind harmonises ceaselessly in the act of creation.
Cherishing Heaven and the Buddha, cherishing all beings and all things, being sincere, joyful and peaceful.
LOVE AND MORALITY
Love springs forth from the light that develops deep within the heart. From the awareness of suffering, one progresses to compassion, and gradually to a love that brings salvation, enabling all beings to advance together in peace.
To recognise one’s own shortcomings and correct them is to practise the true Dharma. To advance naturally and spontaneously, directed towards the very centre of the universe’s vital energy.
The further one advances, the more resolutely one discards preconceived notions, clearly distinguishing between all forms of agitation and reaction. Returning to the fundamental purity of one’s birth, one may then observe the turmoil of human existence and feel compassion for humanity, which has been and continues to be drawn towards such turmoil.
One may pray and hope for swift realisation, but what result is there to be achieved? Therefore, with constant longing and compassion, the mind finds it very difficult to let go and clear the path for the elevation of wisdom.
Only the practitioner of the Way of Non-Action (Vô Vi) can intuitively sense their own return to a state of purity. From the moment of their gentle descent into the world, their entire being is pure, in harmony with Heaven and Earth. Those around them feel compassion and joy at the presence of a spiritual being who has come into the world, overflowing with the love bestowed by Heaven and Earth.
The sublime love of Heaven and Earth has begun to take shape upon the earth. Then, living in sincerity and evolving within the laws of Heaven and Earth, one gradually matures amidst the trials of life.
The love of Heaven and Earth is ever-present and all-encompassing from the very first moment, arranged within the order of existence, from the material to the spiritual.
Only those who practise spiritual cultivation truly love themselves. Only through diligent practice of the Dharma can one cherish Heaven and the Buddhas; it is through suffering that one gains the opportunity to decisively sever worldly attachments. By turning towards the soul in one’s spiritual progress, one finds a path to liberation in the infinite realm, merging into the ocean of love where God and the Buddhas have always resided and continue to dwell.
One senses that all beings are resonating with the blessings bestowed by Heaven and Earth. The circular principle flows throughout the universe, saving all sentient beings through love and complete salvation.
The profound morality of Heaven and Earth has been and continues to awaken sentient beings within the process of evolution. Those who practise with purity will immediately attain enlightenment, merging into the realm of the unborn and the imperishable.
Only by sensing this can one have the opportunity to attain enlightenment and reach the state of full realisation; at that point, the abundance of true dharma will be bestowed upon all sentient beings, who will then journey together in harmony.
Countless Buddhas and Immortals have incarnated as human beings to embody love and virtue. It is from suffering and deprivation that the yearning for the laws of peace arises within the consciousness of humankind on Earth; the omnipotent radiance of Heaven and Earth, and the Supreme Being—the Great Compassionate One—is bringing salvation through the sincere journey of practice and study undertaken by practitioners as they turn towards the Way of Non-Action and practise the Dharma.
COURAGE AND SINCERITY
The mind unfolds, penetrating deeply into matters both small and great. One realises that the mundane world is a shackle. With courage, one practises the Dharma; with steadfast sincerity on the battlefield, one advances towards purity—there is only progress, no retreat.
Any obstacle, whether from worldly life or the spiritual path, is overcome through patience and forbearance.
The mind, when emptied, expands infinitely; only then does one realise that clinging to delusion is stagnation.
The more one practises the Dharma and cultivates the mind, the stronger one’s spiritual power becomes. All forms of anger and unrighteousness are automatically extinguished. Expanding the mind brings forth the light of the inner self, awakening the myriad passive dimensions of consciousness.
These passive dimensions prevent the radiance from shining clearly.
Discontent with all manner of matters breeds delusion, making it difficult to return to true consciousness. Because of the suffering others inflict upon mind and body—through disloyalty and distrust—one becomes bewildered and finds it hard to progress, whilst intuition grows dim. With faith unsteady, one is attacked by demons. Without the principles of the Way, one cannot move forward; lacking wisdom, it is difficult to commit to practice in all necessary areas, leading to sorrow and stagnation, imprisoning the soul and spirit in a realm of ignorance and madness. Dependence on the divine for inspiration leads to treading water. Haphazard prayers go unanswered by the deities.
Turning to the struggle with spells and charms limits the progress of the spirit; the journey finds no escape.
If one is courageous and sincere in purity, calamities will cease for the true practitioner. Heaven, Earth and Humanity unite in the enlightenment of the accomplished practitioner. Returning to the source, the bonds of peace and joy of Heaven and Earth are restored.
Only when there is no longer any conflict or stagnation can one eradicate one’s own greed.
Viewing life with purity, one comprehends the sublime principles of Heaven and Earth and advances accordingly. Diligently cultivating all aspects of spiritual communion, one develops further.
Practise the Dharma to the fullest. Spontaneously dispel all unreasonable disputes. Through self-awareness, cultivate spiritual development and harmonise with all realms. The pure harmonise with the pure; the impure dissolve into the impure; the task is clear.
Purity and clarity serve the divine plan of the Supreme Being. Save all sentient beings, bringing them joy and equality, guiding them towards countless forms of spiritual elevation. Return to one’s true, clearly defined place.
As one sows, so shall one reap; there is no deviation. The more one cherishes the spirit of service to Heaven and Earth, the more one can resolve the intricate complexities within the heart.
True compassion is true compassion! True enlightenment is true enlightenment!
HEALTH AND SPIRITUALITY
The primordial energy of Heaven and Earth has provided everyone with the opportunity to develop spiritually in an upward direction, fulfilling the fundamental principle of the original nature
of every practitioner on this earth.
All have the opportunity to develop freely and harmonise with the love of Heaven whilst advancing on their spiritual path. Those who go with Heaven survive; those who go against Heaven perish. Having the opportunity to live within the subtle physical form fashioned by Heaven and Earth, one must inevitably overcome all the agitated and reactive states of life.
Blessings and misfortunes are the scales of the law of cause and effect; one must breathe to live, breathing in harmony with Heaven and Earth to open the path to wisdom.
If one ceases this fundamental, harmonious connection, one will damage one’s vital organs and be unable to expel toxins from the body. The consequence is weakness and illness; the mind
mind is unable to resonate with the principles of Heaven and Earth, causing one to lose the subtle structure of Heaven and Earth as formed from the very beginning.
One’s fundamental health will gradually weaken, becoming subject to the influence of evil spirits and the demonic realm, and drifting away from the principles of Heaven and Earth. One will constantly rely on external assistance, leaving the physical body without any sense of self-control. Without health, spiritual cultivation cannot be achieved; the depth of one’s spiritual path grows ever weaker; despite constant practice, no progress is made, and one is led by mistaken illusions.
Going against the peaceful evolution of Heaven and Earth means one can never align with the spiritual path and progress.
The soul, meanwhile, continues to await salvation from deities, finding it difficult to connect with the sublime light of the Eternal God in the Kingdom of Heaven, and thus loses the power of true enlightenment and a pure heart.
In this present life, good health is essential to face adversity; only then is there a chance to perceive the soul and the spirit, after being stirred and stirred in reaction by the vicissitudes of life.
black and white; the great cycles of Heaven and Earth—such as rain, sunshine and raging storms—have shown and continue to show humankind that it is essential to build a home for people to dwell in.
All these endeavours are achieved through good health.
With good health and joy within a structured order, each person has a role to play for the common good. If one wishes to live a good life, it is essential to maintain both physical and spiritual well-being in order to achieve one’s full potential.
HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Life, from the physical to the spiritual, is governed by the cosmic law of transformation and creation. All forms and manifestations are subject to the interplay of the Five Elements—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth—composed of the Four Great Elements: water, fire, wind and earth. The interplay of these elements is clearly defined by the principles of Yin and Yang, left and right, and they operate together within a ceaseless process of evolution, following the direction of transformation and creation.
Those practising meditation require pure plant-based sustenance.
Daily intake of natural grains, known as ‘Heavenly Rice’ – the essence of pure light, possessing boundless power to save all sentient beings – combined with fresh vegetables, transforms viscous substances, purifies the flow of light within the internal organs, and manifests in exquisite and resplendent colours.
All flavours—sour, spicy, astringent, bitter, salty and sweet—are beneficial, aiding the smooth functioning and mastery of the five viscera.
The pure light transforms ceaselessly, sustaining and transforming the very existence of all living beings and the flavours upon
this earth, where life grows ever more attuned to one another. Killing one another for sustenance and understanding one another through the laws of nature thus take shape. Understanding the vitality that nourishes and serves all sentient beings according to the essential needs of the internal organs.
Building faith and practising correctly through the laws of Yin and Yang forms the structure of the cosmic order, returning to the mysterious and pure orbit. Daily health-preserving practices are essential for the evolution of the spirit and a vibrant nature, coupled with the harmony and mutual affection between the universe and humankind; where will we go when today is here and tomorrow is gone?
The principles of Heaven and Earth are intricately woven, from the breath to the plants, forming the force that guides the spirit. Balance between Yin and Yang is the foundation of health. Extreme Yin generates damp, toxic qi that causes illness. Extreme Yang leads to irritability and frustration.
The harmonious interplay of Yin and Yang—from the energy of the heavens to natural vegetation—brings joy and goodness. Vitality flourishes unhindered on the path of moral virtue, guiding others with profound compassion, rejoicing with Heaven and Earth, and cherishing nature and the natural world.
Light creates life on Earth; this is known as ‘nourishing life’, and many new elements are formed.
To understand health cultivation is to grasp the key to life for the practice of meditation. The mind easily shines forth and cherishes all living beings and things.
III
THE JOURNEY TOWARDS ENLIGHTENMENT
By dedicating oneself to the development of consciousness, one realises that the physical body is subordinate to the Soul; together, they form a ‘Microcosm’ in this world, comprising: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth; water, fire, wind and earth—the four elements united—responding to the will of Heaven to advance.
The Soul is the sovereign, bearing the responsibility for guiding the body’s omnipotence beyond the subtle steering of Heaven and Earth, gradually coming to understand its own place and mission: from existence, it shall return to nothingness; only then will the Soul decisively turn back to the Kingdom of Heaven, no longer clinging to the chaotic and licentious ways of the mundane world.
Striving towards purity, one embarks on a journey of enlightenment. With a clear and distinct Spirit, and a well-defined purpose, one lives to learn and to dedicate oneself to developing one’s own innate spiritual potential.
Love, money, karma, and illusions are naturally discerned; the journey is achieved through enlightenment.
Understanding the consequences of every event, the rhythm of one’s consciousness is further heightened.
Practising in accordance with the principles of the mystical Way, free from superstition and delusion. Facing every obstacle head-on, resolving them through self-reflection, and finding joy in the arduous yet blameless journey of evolution. The development of consciousness is the true path; bearing all consequences to resolve one’s karma.
A courageous and enlightened mind is radiant. One perceives the oneness of Heaven and Earth. There is dissolution, there is reunion, and there is transcendence; one progresses harmoniously within the infinite realm, where spirit and soul converge in accordance with the laws of Heaven and Earth.
True essence unfolds through practice. The depth of the spiritual path will expand; compassion will grow, bringing peace and harmony with Heaven and Earth.
Consciousness knows no boundaries. Dedicating oneself to guiding others through the true word and authentic practice. Purity fills the consciousness, guiding the path of creation and building.
Cherishing Heaven and the Buddha on the journey of enlightenment, forever unwavering.
The heart is filled with harmony with the vital centre of the cosmos, intent on spreading good tidings far and wide.
REFLECTION ON THE REALM OF TEMPORARY EXISTENCE
The realm of impermanence is a temporary abode, for the soul resides upon the fragility of the five viscera: the heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys—all composed of viscous fluids and delicate membranes—which sustain life by absorbing the cosmic light.
The nerves emanating from the brain are intricately interconnected, driven by the purified cosmic light channelled through respiration, the heartbeat and the liver—which works in unison to pump blood to the brain, transforming it into clarity that supports the mind’s operation towards a state of exquisite balance.
From the command centre to the brain, perception, judgement and discernment are clear and distinct. From light to rays of light, from the exterior to the interior, the Soul is gently guided towards lightness and purity through cultivation, content to make corrections—step by step, bit by bit—to keep pace with the evolution and unfolding of the spirit; eradicating the hidden roots of disease within the five viscera, whilst dispelling delusion and breaking through attachments for life on earth.
We feel deep compassion and reverence for the Buddhas and Enlightened Ones who have attained the Way, having left behind the turbulent physical form that absorbs external influences unnecessary for life.
By consciously practising the necessary disciplines to cultivate oneself and progress through dedicated practice—Soul Contemplation, the Ever-Turning Dharma Wheel and Meditation—one can resolve one’s karmic burdens, bestow the true Dharma to benefit all beings whilst living in this world, absorb the light of Heaven and Earth, and cultivate the light within; only then can one perceive the principles of Heaven and Earth and sustain one’s existence upon this earth.
This has been the case for many generations; eventually, the soul must depart, whilst the physical body must be returned to the earth, disintegrating and coalescing, undergoing the cycle of transformation and rebirth, becoming flowers and fruits to nourish all living beings.
Countless millions upon millions of souls must accept the law of cause and effect of Heaven and Earth in order to evolve, harmonising with the light of the sun and the moon to praise Heaven and Earth and cultivate themselves, progressing according to their own inherent abilities.
Recognise that the material world is a shackle; face it directly and liberate yourself through the innate light of compassion inherent in every spiritual soul.
JOY IN PURITY
By accepting one’s current state of evolution, one remains ever serene and joyfully progresses, advancing in accordance with the law of cause and effect. Benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trust form a framework leading to lightness and clarity; by maintaining one’s own integrity, one is guided towards a clearer understanding of the Way.
Returning to the fundamental bonds present from birth, what is the nature of truth?
Order reduces unwholesome thoughts. With a sincere and steadfast heart on the path of the Way, virtue increases, and one progresses firmly within the spiritual realm. Developing the depth of compassionate light, guiding all beings to walk and progress together. Extinguishing the fire of worldly life, embracing the fire of the Way—this wondrous, self-elevating progress is called happiness.
Evolution is both spiritual and physical; one feels joy and harmony in purity; the distinctions between worldly ties and the path of the Way are clear; one sets out with lightness of heart, free from sorrow and negligence.
Life and the Way rejoice together in their shared progress, openly amidst Heaven and Earth, naturally and spontaneously; one commits oneself without hesitation, resolutely serving all sentient beings with a sincere heart, no longer clinging to worldly attachments, and wholeheartedly building for the common good. The wisdom of the heart gradually unfolds through days of service. Rejoicing in serenity, progressing with a mind that grows ever more luminous, brimming with auspicious conditions that guide the way, free from all worries.
The clear connection between Heaven, Earth and Humankind, moving forward together in the fundamental nature of the Tathāgata, with sincerity and courage. Heaven and Earth form the conditions of the Way, existing within the void. The five viscera and four limbs arise in this transient realm.
Eventually, one must depart in silent tranquillity, evolving according to one’s virtuous deeds and good nature.
Favourable conditions have been cultivated over many lifetimes; only now do we reap the blessings bestowed by Heaven, which have always been present in nature.
The deeper one’s understanding, the greater one’s humility. Cherishing Heaven and the Buddha, one cultivates virtue to offer to the Buddha and Heaven. This is the most beautiful quality of the spirit.
The more serene one becomes, the more enlightened one grows; resonating with the auspicious karma of Heaven and Earth, one progresses, steadfastly safeguarding the evolution of the soul and spirit, with the mind brimming with serenity, transcending the karmic suffering and tribulations of this world.
Persisting in this way, the wondrous Way will be revealed.
THE ESSENCE OF MIND AND CONDUCT
Present-day life comprises the primordial energy of Heaven and Earth, harmoniously guiding the soul and the physical body. A tightly structured
Subtle and intricate, it is called the Heavenly Net, which restrains and nurtures the soul so that it may evolve ceaselessly.
The soul acts in the direction of greed, agitation and reaction, unaware of what tomorrow may bring! Thus it acts within the cycle of karma, in accordance with its own birth and death, cause and effect, to awaken the mind and practise the cycle of birth and rebirth.
If good deeds arise, one learns goodness; if evil intentions arise, one learns evil. One strives towards the fulfilment of the true mind, seeking the profound principles within the pursuit of enlightenment.
In this way, one evolves endlessly, transcending a life of worldly defilement and agitation. It is no different from a person walking through a tunnel, who desperately needs light to move forward, rejoicing when light is received, and rejoicing when the mind is enlightened and wisdom is awakened. The soul is the true master, nurturing clarity to serve the self, unravelling karmic ties, circulating within the principles of change, moving everywhere, and practising amidst the interplay of birth and conflict. Moving upwards leads to convergence; moving downwards leads to dispersion and suffering.
Only when beset by suffering from every quarter do we finally give up and awaken. Once awakened, we see the chaotic and turbulent journey—lacking clarity, awareness and peace; aspirations unfulfilled; the body held captive by stagnation; the soul making no progress; a sense of regret and helplessness.
Only by willingly turning upwards and liberating oneself can the true mind be fully unfolded; one can then sense boundless compassion and spiritual elevation, a vibrant existence in every aspect, harmonising with the principle of the unborn and undying, and uniting with the infinite light—only then can one resolve the web of defilement and attain a clear mind.
Act in purity; act with clarity. With a broad mind and an enlightened intellect, everything is arranged with clarity.
No person, no Buddha, no Tathāgata’s mind—directly, joyfully guiding and fully liberating.
DIRECT AWARENESS OF THE PRECEPTS
Practising the method of the ‘Dharma of Non-Action, Mystical Science of the Buddha’ for a continuous period of 6 to 9 months, one will naturally feel a heavy sensation at the centre between the eyebrows; this is the moment when two streams of energy converge from the ‘Soul-Illuminating Dharma’.
At that point, the practitioner’s vision becomes clear and their intuition begins to connect with the ethereal realm of the Dharma Realm; with eyes closed, their perception expands far beyond what it was before.
The ‘Soul Illumination’ practice is highly beneficial for: concentrating essence, energy and spirit – transforming essence into energy, energy into spirit, and spirit into emptiness.
That decisive stream of energy will connect with the essence of the universe.
The practitioner will begin to perceive two paths of evolution, rather than a single outward-directed trajectory as was the case before practising this method. This is what it truly means to commit oneself fully, cultivating both worldly life and the spiritual path. In worldly life, the physical body enjoys health and well-being; on the spiritual path, the soul becomes increasingly enlightened and capable of decisively handling whatever may arise.
The ‘Eternal Turning of the Dharma Wheel’ will dissolve all impurities from the internal organs, expelling them through bowel movements and urination. Original
With abundant vital energy, the body will be healthy. Meditation consists of inner disciplines; through ‘Soi Hồn’ and the ‘Constantly Turning Dharma Wheel’, one achieves a state of unified concentration, and only then can one project one’s spirit. Whilst projecting one’s spirit, one harmonises with the cosmic order; intuition becomes keen and develops, thereby enabling one to refine oneself to become more mature and upright than before, travelling on two wheels rather than one—a practice known as the dual cultivation of worldly life and the spiritual path.
By refining oneself through intuition, one enjoys a healthy and joyful life; the consciousness evolves vigorously along the spiritual path, and by dedicating oneself
practising within the spiritual realm, becoming increasingly clear and enlightened with each passing day. Realising that life is transient, one enjoys this lifetime before advancing, progressing in harmony with the will of Heaven whilst overcoming all obstacles.
True love and morality flourish; one senses the sublime lightness of Heaven and the Buddha within one’s consciousness, repents for the errors of the past, and practises unification with Heaven and Earth. Realising the illusory nature of the urban world, one comprehends that all dimensions ultimately return to nothingness; with intuition guiding the path of cultivation, one releases all inner sorrows, attaining peace and purity.
FOLLOWING THE NATURAL COURSE OF DEVELOPMENT
The principles of Heaven and Earth are clearly laid out, manifested through the interplay of yin and yang forces—constantly stimulating and counteracting one another in an endless cycle of creation and destruction—known as the transient realm of impermanence; working for a time before growing weary of it, known as the fickle nature of worldly life—here today, gone tomorrow, amounting to nothing. The physical body manifests this through greying hair and dimmed eyes; the aspiration to rise is unfulfilled, vital energy is lost, and one is swept along by the ever-changing cycle of life and death.
Unless one practises spiritual cultivation, there is no way to break free from this; with each passing day, one will decline further. The mind grows old, fearing death, and lacks the courage to correct the bad habits formed over many lifetimes. Clinging to an inescapable attachment, one fails to recognise the value of mind and body, cannot discern the consequences of one’s own actions, lacks a firm stance, and creates turmoil for oneself.
The soul has been and remains imprisoned within the physical body; unable to purify itself to achieve self-salvation, it instead creates further chains to bind itself, leaving no escape, and drifts in a haze of illusions.
The spiritual practitioner lets go of everything within the mind, detaching from matters both small and great; only then does the soul become light and pure.
By maintaining the progress of the spirit, one comes to understand the sublime nature of the heavens and advances of one’s own accord, flowing in harmony with development towards the infinite. Its truth is light, illuminating the mind and opening the intellect through the radiant grace of Supreme Compassion.
With the mind focused on attainment, one enters a state of continuous, pure meditation; free from greed and suffering, the connection between the Way and worldly life becomes crystal clear. Through sincere and steadfast cultivation and evolution, one dedicates oneself to practising the Dharma to save oneself and influence those who follow—this is the wondrous Dharma of Heaven and Earth.
The distinction between worldly life and the spiritual path is clear, the journey is distinct; there is no longer any bewilderment or weakness. Rejoicing in purity, rejoicing in awakening, comprehending development in myriad dimensions; the spirit is a constant convergence and ceaseless evolution. In the cosmos, light is essential to the life of the spirit; the journey is never obstructed.
CLAD IN LOVE
A practitioner who follows the correct path connects solely with Heaven and Earth to restore their own balance, allowing their consciousness to radiate light rather than remain shrouded in darkness with no way out. Their spiritual energy grows ever more abundant, harmonising with the boundless love of Heaven and Earth, thereby creating the conditions to guide others to enlightenment whilst on earth.
Wherever they go, they bring a sense of peace and trust to all those around them, resonating with unceasing love and morality that develops spontaneously to infinity—this is known as the compassionate mind that saves all beings. Joyfully accepting whatever circumstances may arise, the mind connects with others in an equal, light and harmonious way, without regard to status or class, rich in forgiveness and love, willing to resolve any worldly impurities within the heart to bring forth natural and innocent light.
Unfolding the living principles of Heaven and Earth, sowing the seeds of salvation for all sentient beings, practising correctly, and strictly observing the laws of Heaven and Earth whilst advancing. Dedicating oneself without hesitation, developing in substance and realising love and morality, submitting to the will of Heaven whilst progressing, regardless of hardship and suffering, acting courageously in purity, developing harmoniously and free from delusion. The white robe of love is the path of self-awareness, a breath of freshness and purity.
Enlightened mind, realising one’s true nature. Through self-cultivation and self-advancement, one’s speech is pure and light; harmonising with all dimensions of development, one evolves spiritually towards the infinite, forming a garment in harmony with Heaven and Earth to bring it to fruition. Only then does the practitioner of the Way of Non-Action truly return to the original source of the wondrous, benevolent and great compassion of light.
Only through practice can one see; only through practice can one understand the depths of Heaven and the Buddha; only through letting go and progressing can one achieve fulfilment. A smile costs nothing yet brings joy to all who journey and progress together. The supernatural structure of Heaven and Earth holds immeasurable value; only through pure practice can one clearly perceive the true form and nature; only through radiant righteousness can one bestow light upon all beings for their development—that is the light of compassion; and only by practising and developing together can one truly become the light that saves the world.
IV
DECISIVE SELF-SALVATION
The emotions of life—always stirring and clinging—are called ‘feelings’, ranging from the impure to the pure; a clear and resolute commitment is essential in practice.
Only by evolving in accordance with circumstances can one clearly see that the bonds of past karma are no different from a pair of shackles, imposing unnecessary burdens and causing the soul to worry over futile matters—thus becoming increasingly confined, tightening the grip on mind and body, and feeling perpetually preoccupied, which prevents the mind from developing, leading one to wallow in suffering without understanding its true value!
Focusing outwardly always leads to failed schemes! Frantically pursuing unnecessary paths. One wishes to be devout yet clings to temporary worldly pleasures; the direction is unclear and it is very difficult to make a decisive break.
Refusing to practise in purity; the innate ability bestowed by Heaven is boundless wisdom, acting in accordance with the realm of the Great Void, and cultivating through reverence for Heaven and the Buddhas. Refusing to be humble and correct oneself, one clings to a superficial intelligence that leads nowhere, making it difficult to harmonise and progress.
It is only when even fathers and sons, husbands and wives are separated that one can truly appreciate the value of solitude, reduce one’s dependence on others, and recognise one’s own capabilities, thereby facing up to all of life’s necessities.
Progress comes only through action; willingly dedicating oneself to serving all sentient beings is, in itself, a form of self-cultivation. It is only through practice that one comes to clearly understand what the mind of karma truly is. Be willing to reform oneself in the current process of evolution, turning towards the principle of Heaven’s love to learn.
One must extinguish one’s lustful nature and unrighteous desires. Only by gradually coming to understand oneself more deeply can one willingly let go of the unnecessary and practise what is essential for both mind and body. Cultivating good habits for oneself is the correct way to practise meditation.
Self-cultivation leads to self-realisation. The results of progress towards the boundless become increasingly evident. Only then can one perceive the principle of Heaven and Earth and be willing to practise forgiveness and love; only then can one see that peace is essential for human life on Earth.
When one is pure and understands oneself, one will comprehend all the love of Heaven and Earth, which has served all sentient beings day and night to ensure their stability, and thus practise self-cultivation.
LETTING GO OF PRECONCEIVED OPINIONS
Those practising the Way of Non-Action must decisively let go of preconceived notions to avoid delusion; only then can the spirit become light and serene. By understanding the profound depths of the mystical Way, the mind remains untroubled and untainted by the turbulence of external circumstances. Decisiveness and purity are paramount; one no longer harbours attachments to worldly defilements.
Seeking the depths of the Way through self-cultivation is no different from a person who, starting from the foot of the mountain, labours to reach the summit, where the atmosphere is entirely renewed. Once there, the burden is lightened, and one is at ease and free from cares. One cherishes the void yet does not wish to cling to karma.
The infinite value of Heaven and Earth is ever smouldering deep within the heart.
Be content to practise in purity to evolve, rather than clinging to attachments that cause suffering to both mind and body. Resolutely transcend animal nature to walk the Great Way, advancing within the Great Void of the cosmos.
Self-unfolding and integration with the wondrous, pure primordial energy of Heaven and the Buddha. The mind, undisturbed, gradually emerges. Auspicious karma will guide the spirit towards a realm of boundless radiance. The enlightened master is filled with love and nurturing.
A kind and pure mind is the greatest treasure of all sentient beings today. To cherish oneself is to cherish others. Unforeseen, wondrous results have been realised by Heaven and Earth; to perceive, understand and fully comprehend this is the blessing for humanity in the future.
If one devotes oneself to spiritual practice and repents night after night, the future of one’s soul will be bright; there will be a place to rest when the mind develops harmoniously and becomes pure.
The mysteries of Heaven and the Buddhas constantly aid all sentient beings. Those who devote themselves to practice will clearly understand this. Conversely, those who criticise without acting will remain adrift throughout their lives.
The primordial energy of Heaven and Earth nourishes the soul, yet many, with shallow minds, disregard the laws of Heaven and Earth, thereby creating suffering for their own souls. Reading many books but not knowing how to apply their teachings is worse than not reading at all but practising, thereby cultivating the true essence of the spirit: light and purity.
FAITHFULNESS
Loyalty and faithfulness are the foundation for the spiritual progress of those practising the Way of Non-Action.
To claim to practise the Way of Non-Action whilst failing to live in accordance with it—both in worldly life and in the spiritual path—means one’s soul will never progress; scheming and exploitation constitute a grave error throughout one’s entire life of spiritual cultivation. Without progress, one has not yet enlightened the mind; how then can one realise one’s true nature? Only by realising one’s true nature does one have the opportunity to repent, make amends, and correct one’s ways to advance spiritually.
To attain the light of enlightenment, one must resolve one’s own karmic entanglements; once resolved, one gains the opportunity to return to the void. Only by transcending the cycle of generation and destruction within the Five Elements can one truly comprehend the wondrous Way. The beginning and the end are one and the same; the more one remains true and faithful, the clearer one’s understanding of both life and the Way becomes.
With a calm mind, one progresses on the path of enlightenment; as one’s spiritual power grows ever purer, one attains the foundation for resolving one’s karmic burdens.
Turning resentment into kindness is a higher form of self-advancement. People in this world are deluded, caught up in the cycles of birth and conflict; whilst they admonish others, they never correct themselves. To practise as a master of astrology and physiognomy whilst neglecting one’s own spiritual position is a grave sin—seeking to save others without first saving oneself.
Only through genuine spiritual practice can one resolve one’s karmic burdens, decisively abandoning error and wholeheartedly turning from worldly life to the Way. Soul and spirit unite in purity, achieving eternal rebirth to praise Nirvana and liberate the mundane mind, walking with clarity and purity. A light and gentle field of divine light guides one towards the sublime radiance, evolving to infinity.
The virtuous Dharma unites all people in shared progress. Enlightened consciousness and a radiant journey transcend the status, wealth and fame of this transient earthly realm. The soul’s ultimate abode is a unique, weightless, unborn state, inseparable from the mind that is interconnected with the entire cosmos.
The upward path is boundless; the downward path leads to dispersion and self-destruction. Therefore, those who practise with a sincere heart greatly benefit their mind and body by aspiring upwards, savouring the source of life from the pure light in their practice. Only when one’s eyes are bright and one’s face radiant, knowing nothing of anxiety, can one resolve the karma of the mind.
The depth of the Dharma always illuminates the practitioner of the Way of Non-Action, enabling them to practise with diligence, free from hardship and suffering.
DEDICATE YOURSELF TO PRACTICE
When one practises with a sincere and wholehearted commitment, one progresses only towards purity and never takes a step back whilst developing one’s own intuition. One practises to advance, to liberate, and to gain profound self-understanding—not merely to keep oneself occupied and trapped.
Focus on evolution, without wavering, and only then will the soul become light and pure. Record acts of goodness to save all sentient beings
and by practising and progressing together, the future of the soul will be glorious and beautiful. Life flows harmoniously amidst the vibrations of the luminous universe, no longer enslaved by the cravings for food and sleep. One is always ready to serve in whatever is required.
With a solid foundation, one’s deeds progress; the body and mind flourish, and one’s voice is warm and harmonious with all realms. The Four Heavenly Realms and the Ten Directions of the Buddhas all resonate with the purity within the cycle of evolution.
Taking refuge with lightness and clarity, each individual develops effortlessly through virtuous habits; there will be no more daydreaming or reliance on external support. By practising solely through service, karmic ties naturally fade away; one fully enjoys the inherent purity of the mind and becomes free from dependence on any external source, resonating with peace and ease.
Do not tread narrow paths, but act with your sights set solely on the vastness of Heaven and Earth. Let the mind naturally unburden itself, returning to its original purity and clarity; live joyfully in a state of peaceful and serene consciousness, and with each passing day you will gain ever greater insight into the workings of the body and the spirit.
Exercise self-mastery in one’s development, progressing in every direction from the impure to the pure. Be content to practise the true Dharma to advance oneself, returning to the oneness of Heaven and Earth. One’s deeds will be neither too many nor too few; they will benefit all sentient beings, offer sincere words of truth, and nurture the evolution of the soul.
Nothing exists, yet everything exists; within the law of existence and non-existence, one awakens.
Rejoice in purity whilst advancing; cultivate both worldly life and the spiritual path in the spirit of innate spiritual service. With a radiant consciousness, accept the karmic connections between Heaven and Earth that have shaped one’s being and continue to evolve. Distinguish clearly between all events that occur in a spirit of genuine reconciliation and salvation. Take love and morality as the foundation of the new life.
SUPERNATURAL STRUCTURE
The supernatural is beyond words; it is attained through trials, from natural agitation to radiant enlightenment and harmonious balance with the transcendent purity—achieved without words within the pure source of life.
Those practising meditation must accept the ceaseless cycle of cause and effect before they can perceive the transcendent structure of both life and the Way. Only by devoting oneself wholeheartedly to spiritual progress can one attain the pure supernatural, and no longer stumble upon insurmountable obstacles. Purity penetrates the origins of stimulation and reaction, structure and resolution, advancing towards infinite light within the inner consciousness.
The Sun and Moon shine within the inner consciousness. By directing the mind towards the Realm of Great Purity, one forms a light of infinite purity and bliss. In the world, aeroplanes fly at their maximum speed; only through safety and a shortened journey can one discover the solution to the laws of physics, thereby building a world where all beings may share in peace. By directing one’s mind towards Heaven and the Buddha in one’s actions, one will attain liberation from worldly attachments. Only then can one truly perceive that the soul is infinite.
The light and pure are the elder brothers, belonging to the realm of culture; the heavy and impure are the younger brothers, stirring up conflict and causing each other suffering with no way out. The measure of the entire Cosmos consists solely of the pure and the impure.
The presence of the spiritual realm on Earth encompasses Yin and Yang, the Pure and the Turbid, which together form the physical body on Earth. The soul is the master, bearing responsibility towards Heaven and Earth and all humankind; it is compelled to learn through suffering in order to awaken the mind sooner.
Science has uncovered all structures formed by nature, whilst the spirit of the meditator discovers the mystical science—that is, the justice of Heaven and Earth—which can only be perceived through action. Without action, the mind remains unopened; merely observing the external world gives rise to desire, and even throughout a lifetime as a human being, one will achieve nothing.
If one refuses to tap into the innate gifts bestowed by Heaven and Earth through the methods of non-birth and purity, one will never achieve fulfilment. People in this world are fond of endlessly repeating the words of those who have succeeded before them, thereby bringing about their own sense of aimlessness because they refuse to practise in order to save themselves.
Virtue is hard to attain, and the Way is hard to comprehend; without practising the Way, one cannot cultivate oneself, nor can one understand the principle of balance between Heaven and Earth, which has existed from the very beginning of the world until now.
Only through balance can one comprehend the natural and supernatural structures. Only by understanding the principle of balance between Heaven and Earth does one have the opportunity to fully grasp the power of the Almighty and to learn without end.
A pure and sublime light constantly shines upon the practitioner who studies and practises with a sincere heart. Faith is the foundation. Mindfulness in practice. An empty mind, light and serene, harmonising with all things as it evolves.
GENERAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES
To attain true peace and well-being for both mind and body, one must recognise the value of the shared practice of the spiritual path one has chosen. One must devote oneself wholeheartedly to the practice until its fulfilment, seeking nothing other than self-salvation and the benefit of those who follow. This is done in a spirit of boundless and selfless service. The cultivation of both worldly life and the spiritual path is clearly integrated.
Be content to devote oneself to the practice without ceasing. Only when wisdom and intention develop to their fullest extent will they bring forth inner light.
Acting in accordance with the clear and strict laws of Heaven and Earth, one will never grow weary.
Taking refuge in the Buddha: this is a return to lightness of being, that is, forgiveness and love.
Taking refuge in the Dharma: this is the continuous practice of the Dharma, that is, self-improvement within the cycle of evolution.
Taking refuge in the Sangha: is to return to one’s true nature, in harmony with natural and spontaneous principles.
To create pure light that benefits others in this world, serving to the fullest in accordance with the principle of Heaven’s love.
To devote oneself without hesitation, to continually correct one’s mistakes and strive for progress, to act with compassion and build up others—ultimately reaping the profound mysteries of Heaven and Earth whilst decisively severing ties with the turmoil of worldly life.
Practising in purity, one feels inner peace growing ever wider and deeper.
Compassion grows, never shying away from any obstacle that arises. Ready to forgive and love, the spirit of construction never fades, and one’s resolute stance remains unshaken.
Saving oneself and helping others is the daily sustenance of the spirit. Moving with gentle rhythm and order, the mind is clear and enlightened, harmonising with all realms. Practising the Dharma strictly, being kind and affectionate towards all, erasing the burden of old age from one’s consciousness, sharing in the joy of peace with all beings; walking together in progress, transcending the illusory labyrinth of the mundane world.
Developing the spirit and its essence, the soul unites in purity; practising the true Dharma, integrating into the strict law of non-birth; self-cultivation and self-advancement, remaining unflustered in any circumstance.
Accept the law of transformation and rebirth of Heaven and Earth.
The Wheel of the Dharma turns ceaselessly. The depth of the mystical path will be intuitively perceived and harmoniously embraced by all realms.
The mind and body are imbued with boundless peace and joy, finding delight in the joy reaped in accordance with natural and spontaneous laws, within a clear and orderly framework, perceiving the supernatural structure whilst remaining at peace.
V
PLOTS AND SCHEMES
Life amidst the turmoil of human society, striving for survival, the mind devising all manner of schemes.
They even exploit the bonds of affection amongst people, capitalising on individual families, identifying their preferences and beliefs, and taking advantage of the situation to incite people into a state of resentment and opposition, causing suffering to one another.
They put forward solutions in pursuit of status. Whilst claiming to defend the innocent, they are in fact merely seeking to earn a living. Speaking of sacrifice for others, they are in reality sowing division to maintain control.
Alas! Life is so cruel. It is all rhetoric designed to deceive oneself and others. It is also because of boundless greed that they drag one another into turmoil.
Fighting over land and flags reveals a sordid nature; vying for interests whilst demanding democracy and human rights, yet remaining unaware of where democracy and human rights truly lie.
Day and night, their minds are filled with restless thought; they find it hard to eat and hard to sleep, constantly pondering the fate of the nation yet unaware of its very foundations. They seek every possible means to mend the human heart, frantically chasing external circumstances, unaware of where they themselves have come from or where they are headed.
Chasing the direction of material development and calling it civilisation, whilst forgetting one’s own soul and the light, pure roots of one’s being!
That is, the soul bears responsibility between Heaven and Earth. The harmonious balance between Heaven and Earth has been lost! Unaware that the ultimate treasure of Heaven and Earth has already taken shape. What the eyes see and the ears hear bring about the clarity that serves both mind and body, utilising the inherent power to cultivate and build oneself in both worldly life and the spiritual path. The soul and spirit are distinct; the mission is clear.
The soul is the master of the physical body, yet it acts improperly, connecting with Heaven and Earth without realising it. It transgresses and then transgresses again.
It creates chaos for itself, disrupting the natural and innocent order. It demands democracy whilst the soul fails to exercise self-mastery, causing the inherent dignity of Heaven and Earth to vanish and corrupting the virtuous nature of Heaven and Earth that has been formed. It perceives life as lonely, having lost its natural and innocent connection. It abuses the desire for human rights whilst forgetting the boundless evolution of the soul.
The virtuous nature of Heaven has the right to seek purity and to refine itself within the cycle of evolution. When one reads and understands the principles of Heaven and Earth, one feels profound shame before one’s own pure and true heart.
On this earth, without purity and an understanding of the principles of Heaven and Earth, even those who attain the highest status in the mortal world remain adrift and without a way out.
THE COMMON CAUSE
To advance the common cause, one must set aside personal pride; only then can one willingly sit together with others and practise in unison until the goal is reached. One must commit oneself just like everyone else and must not delude oneself into thinking one is wiser than others. Through learning and practice, each person will become unified, free from attachment to individuality.
Practising correctly, consistently from start to finish, without a fragmented consciousness—neither looking down from above nor up from below—and nurturing a spirit of unity and shared progress: this alone aligns with the laws of Heaven and Earth. Only by unifying can one truly understand what the mystery is.
Therefore, only by unifying the upper, middle and lower realms as a human being can one manifest goodness. Immortals and Buddhas practise in purity to attain sublimity and unity. That which is without birth and imperishable involves only action, not destruction.
Love one another and help one another to practise and progress together. Through ceaseless learning and ceaseless evolution, attain a stable and harmonious mind, thereby establishing a stronghold of self-awareness and the awakening of others in this world.
Freedom from suffering and worry is true peace. To find joy in the beautiful and serene tapestry of Heaven, nothing is more essential than cultivating oneself. Longing within purity is true love and true building.
As the weather and climate change amidst the shifting workings of Heaven, so too must humankind.
One must recognise this and, through unity and progress, align with Heaven—this is how the righteous endure. If one acts according to one’s own nature, going against Heaven, one will perish. Every matter, great or small, will collapse due to a lack of unity between Heaven
Earth and Humanity. Without the light of compassion and constructive action, we create further suffering instead of enjoying the blessings that Heaven and Earth have ordained within the very minds of humankind from the moment of birth.
A lack of sincerity is a lack of constructive spirit. The practice of love and morality is the most advanced weapon on this Earth.
THE TRAGEDY OF THE SOUTH
A life of peace and joy, with golden rice fields stretching across the land, was suddenly swept away by a whirlwind, leaving nothing but deprivation in every respect.
War erupted everywhere. The cycle of life and death was fraught with disability and emotional wounds. Families were torn apart, some staying, others leaving.
Deep bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood gave way to mutual suspicion, extinguishing their natural kindness. They fought over everything from possessions to their daily bread, inflicting suffering upon one another.
The social balance was thrown off kilter. From leaders down to the peaceful citizens, all were forced to flee far from one another.
The flavour of home gradually fades away. Everyone must learn an unnecessary lesson. Schemes to kill one another arise from a shallow mindset, fuelled by the axe and the hatchet.
Nerves are frayed; the pure, peaceful state of mind is gradually fading away, leaving only lamentations to Heaven and Earth! We know not to whom we may turn for help! The entire population is plunged into destitution. Living like ascetics, suffering like prisoners, only in old age do we realise our own folly. People receive nothing but flowery words day after day through the media that has been seized, within an ever-narrowing framework.
Alas! The upheavals have come thick and fast in the wake of a brutal war—senseless and inhumane—yet the tormented souls still live on. Condemned to the cycle of re-entry into the political arena, they help build a new life steeped in a culture of greed and self-destruction.
Society no longer strictly upholds moral laws as in the past. Exploitation based on the principle of exploitation gives rise to widespread bribery. The destitute receive no aid, and the infrastructure remains unstable. Dark forces infiltrate, spreading prophecies of chaos, serving the interests of the greedy.
Having lost their fundamental human nature, they speak of creating heaven on earth but can never achieve it! Learning merely to criticise and praise solves nothing. They beg, beg, and yearn, yearn. In the end, we get nowhere. From a good seed, we have become a bad one. The poor are uneducated, and the potential for social progress has withered away. Lacking wisdom and spiritual guidance, and following doctrines devoid of wisdom, we will gradually disintegrate.
Young shoots will sprout, blossom and bear fruit, transforming this place into a haven of peace after the ordeal of suffering!
A fundamental return to the sublime path of spiritual cultivation in accordance with ancient traditions. To live a life with a beginning and an end is to possess both soul and spirit.
Shouldering the responsibility for the nation with clarity, in unison and in harmony, the five continents and the four seas come together to share joy and peace.
Acting in harmony with nature brings about positive change in the pursuit of the common good. Lands once scarred by strife and conflict will become peaceful, accompanied by the mild weather of spring and autumn. Our spirits will be at ease as we rejoice in the work of building. Love and morality are restored through profound principles. Blessing and building for one another, advancing the common cause. A virtuous people and a peaceful nation. Deeply understanding and living together in harmony. Greenery flourishes, vitality abounds. Success comes naturally without conflict.
THE SIMPLE PEOPLE
The ignorant people are honest folk, attuned to the truth, content to live and develop according to their circumstances; thus, Heaven has endowed them with the nature of the poor, hard-working peasant. Braving sun and rain, they serve all living beings with sincerity, cultivating sweet potatoes and rice to sustain life, accepting the solitude of storms and floods.
The cunning, lacking in morality, scheme to buy cheap and sell dear, enriching themselves at the expense of the people’s toil; this is a sin of the soul upon the earth, causing them to forfeit the value of their spirituality and morality. They drive fine cars, marry beautiful wives, yet enjoy these things for but a short while before they must cast off their bodies; their souls depart to suffer punishment for greed and darkness. Once dead, the soul knows only regret and tears. Whilst in the body, they failed to practise spiritual cultivation to harmonise with the primordial energy of Heaven and Earth and nurture the soul to become ever more enlightened; by the time death comes and they repent, it is already too late.
Those who live their lives seeking pleasure, refusing to save themselves through a practice that discards the impure and retains the pure, give their souls no chance to escape the karmic obstacles of reincarnation in this wretched cycle of delusion.
Those who practise the Way of Non-Action understand the luminous principle of Heaven and Earth; their souls attain eternal life. Those who are enlightened in this life, understanding the Way, live in forbearance, alleviating suffering and dispelling delusion, and practise with a focus on purity; thus, their path of cultivation will attain balance and perfection. Cultivating purity, practising the Dharma diligently, understanding oneself and others, and developing a harmonious consciousness in lightness and serenity.
Rejoicing in life and the Way, one’s life is peaceful and joyful.
A MOTHER’S LOVE
A mother’s love is the love of one’s homeland and nation. According to the principle of birth in this world, every mother must endure the suffering and agony of her entire body, much like a raging, dangerous storm—a calamity within a calamity—to give birth to a beloved child, who is formed by absorbing the vital energy of Heaven and Earth. Mother and child shelter one another through life, sharing life and death with tenderness, serving the young child until they come of age; countless memories are deeply etched into the nerves, the mind, and even the organs and limbs—a dense chapter of Heaven and Earth’s history recorded from birth to death.
Thus, evolution proceeds from one circumstance to the next, from the warmth of the family to that of society. Turning one’s heart towards love for one’s country and people, expressing the precious values that sustain life, through a courageous collective consciousness that supports one another, and through the songs and chants of practitioners on earth, which often stir feelings of love for one’s homeland and beloved country.
Gradually understanding humanity, step by step reaching the roots of the spiritual. Only by discovering one’s own Soul and Spirit can one perceive the realm of one’s own purity and develop the Way of the Heart.
Only by cherishing all living beings and all things in the universe can one perceive the path that God has bestowed upon humanity for our collective progress. There will be no more divisions; love will expand ever further. By cherishing Heaven and the Buddhas, and courageously advancing towards them in one’s actions, one’s progress will reach infinite heights, thereby experiencing the state of non-birth and immutability whilst evolving in purity.
Beginning with the first step, we comprehend the wondrous Dharma of Heaven and Earth; from the tender love of the Mother, which leads to the future salvation of all souls, to the love of Humanity—a divine nature that, having come into being, will also have the opportunity to return to the Kingdom of Heaven. Only then will we resonate with the peace that is timeless and imperishable. A magnificent vision of Heaven within the principle of the dual cultivation of worldly life and the spiritual path.
Praise the Mother’s love, praise human life, praise the principles of Heaven and Earth, and save all sentient beings without hesitation. Devote oneself to practising the Dharma to enlighten the mind, quietly cultivating and progressing whilst seeking the principles of the spirit, following an unyielding path towards complete salvation.
DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Everyone desires a peaceful life and to participate in the common endeavour of building society; they always aspire to something wholesome and better. Therefore, we must first reflect on our own presence on this earth: from what source has this refined and discerning mind arisen, which constantly demands wholeness for both ourselves and the community in our present shared existence? Therefore, the question arises regarding the right to ownership of the physical realm we inhabit—as embodied in our present physical form—who is the true owner?
This physical body comprises a fully intricate structure, as science has partially discovered in the field of medicine; whilst, on the spiritual level, those who have diligently practised meditation and attained deep concentration have uncovered the root and origin of the soul. Purity and clarity have brought, and continue to bring, peace to the physical body.
Whether one consents or objects is determined by the conscious soul. The soul is the absolute master of the ‘Microcosm’; the mind directs the body, and the consequences—whether arising from unrighteousness or violence—must be borne entirely by the body, resulting in illness and anxiety!
To understand the depth of the spiritual path, one must first recognise that the soul is the master of the body, not the other way round. What is the soul?
Having gained mastery over the body, the meditator must, with a calm and composed mind, direct their attention towards purity to discover the true place of the soul. Only by quietly reducing external desires and cultivating inner awareness can one find the soul’s place of purity; only then can one sense the soul descending from the Thirty-three Heavens into the body, imprisoned by external circumstances, frantically following the path of turmoil, striving and struggling to achieve the goals they desire, only to ultimately have to let go and depart empty-handed.
It is a pity that, whilst a life was built to foster the evolution of the soul, it was not put into practice; it is a waste of a human life spent in delusion and turmoil, forgetting one’s own truth—namely, that one must practise spiritual cultivation to progress in step with the march of civilisation as ordained by God. All beings journey and progress together.
If one is content to follow the natural course of things, Heaven’s grace will enhance one’s discernment, leading to a return to God; by living in harmony with Great Compassion, life will unfold in spiritual and physical peace. Order will prevail in both worldly life and the spiritual path. Only by reducing unjust demands can a state of national tranquillity and the well-being of the people be achieved.
As self-awareness grows day by day, and as we come to understand human dignity within the free development of the spirit, the right to a pure personal life will hold great significance in the orderly coexistence of worldly life and the spiritual path. Society will flourish, suited to a life of joy and peace.
It is necessary to cultivate one’s consciousness before democracy and human rights can be realised in life.
VI
MESSENGERS OF PEACE
Every mind on earth is a messenger of peace. One must possess the wisdom to cultivate and build a peaceful mindset from the inside out; if one proceeds from the outside in, one will only create turmoil for oneself. Walking, standing, sitting and lying down all require order in their cultivation; without cultivating to attain one’s own supernal principle, one merely lives in reliance on external forces ( ), treading water and regressing rather than progressing. The soul remains unilluminated, the body lacks order, leading only to greed and self-destruction.
To achieve unity and peace, one must wholeheartedly strive for self-improvement through patience and forbearance. A clear mind and enlightened heart are the true messengers of peace. Cherish all living beings on this Earth, see one another for who we truly are, cultivate spiritual growth, and foster a united community—this is the foundation of peace. By agreeing to move forward together in building, intuitively sensing the profound light of the spiritual path, harmonising with the inherent energy of the cosmos, broadening the altruistic consciousness, and moving towards liberation and guidance, one can perceive the sublime splendour of Heaven and Earth and advance accordingly.
Recognising peace as the ultimate goal of human existence, we practise love and morality. Everywhere, one will feel a unified sense of peace, praising the infinitely beautiful harmony of Heaven and Earth. Living in a state of tranquillity and freedom from worry, the mind is at ease and unburdened. True joy is to immerse oneself in a light, transcendent energy, in a peaceful and beautiful life. One intuitively senses that the rhythm of the present moment is one of shared journey and shared progress, free from anxiety or fear of loss or gain. One dedicates oneself to development within purity, to return to purity. Learning compassion and practising compassion truly brings about a realm of love and tenderness within order.
MESSENGERS OF PEACE (II)
Every soul that descends into this world is a Messenger of Peace, but alas! The eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind all turn outwards, creating turmoil and competing to obtain what they desire. Thus, the fundamental purity inherent from birth is lost. A fondness for chaos completely extinguishes the spirit and inner peace. Even those who share the same bed and pillow turn against one another; how can there be peace? The pursuit of a livelihood, the pursuit of a livelihood; the pursuit of personal gain, the pursuit of personal gain—these disrupt the inner balance, creating a restless mind and a troubled spirit.
Suffering, suffering—only then do we yearn for peace and tranquillity.
The true essence of every spiritual root descends from the realm of peace into this impure realm of greed and lust, only to be swept up in the complexities of life, with both mind and body defiled by ceaseless desires. Sorrow is ever-present in life. As the body ages, one begins to grow weary of the treacherous ways of the world, feeling lost and without a way out.
It is only then that they turn their hearts towards the Heavenly Buddhas, drawing upon the subtle insights of those practitioners who have successfully attained the Dharma, and devote themselves to cultivation, resolving their karmic burdens of the mind, and advancing towards the radiance of Great Compassion; only then do they clearly perceive the inherent rhythm of peace within Heaven and Earth. Yet, humankind has entirely forgotten the spiritual realm, turning instead to strife that creates a sense of abandonment, whilst demanding democracy and human rights.
They struggle for democracy and human rights, yet peace remains elusive; they continue to clash with one another because every loophole remains unresolved. They constantly yearn for peace but do not know how to achieve it.
As Heaven’s mechanisms shift, people have come to understand and recognise the law of cause and effect inherent in Heaven and Earth. So, how can one return to the benevolence of Heaven and Earth?
One must purify one’s karmic mind through the methods practised by those who have gone before. Only by purifying the karmic mind can one truly appreciate that peace is essential to life. From ordinary people to spiritual practitioners, by fully utilising and developing one’s own innate intellect, one will clearly see that one is a messenger of peace. Continue to practise the true Dharma to awaken wisdom, and contribute the true words that bring peace to all realms, near and far, upon this earth.
In conclusion, it is through complete faith and virtue that one attains the fruits of peace and harmony with Heaven and Earth, thereby advancing in life; each individual must build and achieve this for themselves.
THE SACRED SOUL
Born as human beings on this earth, with a head and a tail, everyone possesses a soul and a spirit; yet, because the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind are in constant motion, creating an outward orientation and seeking personal gain—the manifestations of which are greed, lust and selfishness—this drives us until death, leaving the soul and spirit adrift, and the spirit undeveloped. After death, upon leaving the body, one can only enter the realm of darkness rather than the radiance bestowed by Heaven, losing one’s innate lightness and clarity; this is called the sin of a dark and deluded spirit. Throughout one’s existence, one remains unable to distinguish between worldly life and the spiritual path. The eyes perceive wealth and love as precious, and one frantically pursues them amidst strife, which is detrimental to the spirit; yet one continues to act thus due to dark habits formed over many lifetimes; one is thus forced to endure the karmic consequences of reincarnation.
They learn to sacrifice and serve, just as the beasts of this world have done and continue to do.
They pray, yet never escape their karma.
Only through spiritual cultivation can the soul attain clarity, detaching from the body to learn the wondrous Way of Heaven and Earth. Upon leaving the mortal body, with clear wisdom and a distinct path, one transcends the layers of delusion within the mind, proceeding resolutely and advancing on the spiritual path. The seven emotions, the six desires and karmic ties cause the soul to stagnate and remain bound by karma; thus, one spends one’s entire life in anxiety, only to ultimately return to the Void. The sacred soul, originating from a realm of purity and light, must ultimately depart with empty hands; only at the moment of death does one realise one’s errors, and is compelled to reincarnate through the Six Realms to learn the virtues of self-sacrifice and complete liberation, following the example of Heaven and Earth to advance one’s spiritual journey.
The laws of Heaven and Earth are truly intricate; they have always, and continue to, nurture the soul’s elevation and self-awareness. Suffering arises ceaselessly due to the nature of desire and the absence of a way out. With a soul that lacks clarity and a path that is not practised, how can one comprehend the nature of Heaven and Earth and cultivate oneself? It is a waste of a human life not to cultivate oneself through the method of discarding the impure and retaining the pure; on the contrary, allowing the impure to cling leads to stagnation and a lack of progress.
THE GIRL OF TRANSIENT EXISTENCE
The bond between father and mother has fashioned a graceful form, with limbs and a mind, capable of learning and progressing; only then does one realise that this very physical body is but a temporary vessel.
In time, one must cast off this body, and the spirit must depart to learn endlessly, whatever circumstances may arise. Act courageously within one’s own capacity, recognising that both the external and the internal are transient: not yet knowing how to love, yet desiring to be loved; ultimately, one must surrender to the laws of evolution that Heaven and Earth have established and continue to ordain within the principles of nature and innocence.
– Whether one is content or not, one must accept it; from the coarse to the refined, one navigates the treacherous currents of worldly life, stirred by myriad influences.
– Only by learning to endure humiliation can one come to realise that the soul lives according to the laws of Heaven. Only through self-cultivation can one reap a vibrant part of the spiritual life.
By recognising the transience of this fleeting existence and upholding the principles of Heaven and the Buddha, one succeeds in spiritual progress.
As one becomes increasingly clear about the delusion and enlightenment within the heart, and through self-cultivation turns towards the innate spirit bestowed by Heaven to develop one’s spirituality, only then can one perceive the boundless nature of Heaven and Earth and cultivate oneself. Only when the soul is willing to cultivate can it advance towards the infinitely sublime purity of Heaven and the Buddha—known as the eternal Nirvana of Heaven and the Buddha, which has always reigned and continues to reign. That realm is one of absolute equality and harmony.
The mortal maiden, in turn, has the opportunity to absorb the sublime light of Heaven and the Buddhas, practising with vigour to transform into exquisite beauty, in harmony with the Great Compassion of Heaven and Earth, thus attaining eternal serenity and lightness, radiating this light to all realms and places whenever it is needed. May Guanyin guide and save us!
THE ROSE
At dawn, the radiant light shines forth; the earth’s energy rises to create vibrant colours, harmoniously blending to form the rose. All who behold it are delighted, cherishing its beautiful pink hue and its radiant smile, fostering good karma for all realms. Look upon the flower and ask:
Question: Who gave birth to you?
Answer: That thorny bush gave birth to me.
Question: Are you any different from this tree?
Answer: I am very different indeed, for I am cherished by many, and my fragrance and colour are far more vibrant than this tree’s.
Question: Will you live longer than this tree?
Answer: I shall live longer and dwell in the hearts of everyone.
But not for long; the weather changes, with erratic winds and rain; the flowers wither and the pollen falls, and the seed must undergo the cycle of birth and decay to evolve. The seed, buried beneath the earth, strives to grow into another tree;
we ask ourselves whether the newly sprouted tree is any different from the old one?
The newly sprouted tree must also acknowledge that it has sprung from the rugged, thorny tree. It must accept the law of transformation and rebirth in order to evolve. Beauty is fleeting. The vigour of evolution is eternal. The order of Heaven and Earth has remained the same from time immemorial to the present day.
Once one understands the principles of Heaven and Earth, the distinction between the ancient and the modern is merely a form of evolution. A true practitioner must cultivate inner wisdom; only then are they truly a practitioner. Those who display outward trappings and boast of their robes and headdresses are not true practitioners.
Positions of authority are transient. Action and development are eternal and without birth.
ME AND YOU
We coexist within the pure atmosphere of Heaven and Earth, breathing together to advance our spiritual development, living amidst the ebb and flow of consciousness. Everyone seeks balance and fairness—from the depths of the mind to what the eyes see and the ears hear—sharing profound and open aspirations, with smiles of joy and beauty. The cherished sentiment of Heaven and Earth knows only joy, no sorrow. Joy in purity and order, naturally fulfilling the noble aspiration of ‘ ’ in the process of creation. There is no longer any distance or awkwardness between us; high and low alike share the same rhythm of life as the entire cosmos. We look at one another, see one another, and share with one another what is unnecessary.
Love, money, fate and karma are all temporary; only through self-cultivation can one understand this.
The proof is that we are always in harmony with Heaven and Earth through our natural breath; purity is essential for us to recognise one another. From past lives to the present, we flow within the principles of Heaven and Earth, moving in a complete cycle that guides evolution. All dimensions of awakening are Emptiness within purity. True spirituality comes to the wondrous, pure light of Heaven and Earth.
You and I, though in different positions, share a single life. We expand and contract alike, flowing back and forth in the same way within the long-established order of cause and effect, on this arduous yet masterful journey. Sometimes we accept this; sometimes we do not. To go against the flow of spiritual evolution brings only suffering! One fails to perceive the joy bestowed by Heaven and Earth from the very first moment, gentle and nurturing in its creation. The more one practises, the more clearly one realises one is adrift and lost in the connection between Heaven and Earth; only by courageously rectifying oneself after the turbulence and reaction between worldly life and the Way can one attain inner balance.
Responding to the profound mystery of Heaven and Earth, nothing is lost and nothing remains. The Law is immutable. To practise is to progress; to neglect it is merely to create turmoil within the mind. As the order of Heaven and Earth has been established, only those who are light and serene will return to their rightful place swiftly.
You and I must devote ourselves to cultivation and progress, acting in accordance with the laws of Heaven and Earth. We shall find ever greater joy in purity. Cherishing and caring for one another, we shall advance together towards the infinite. We shall resolutely practise in the path of cultivation, rejoice in the joy of peace and contentment, and strive to purify and refine ourselves in every aspect of purity.
THE ERA OF DI LẠC
The workings of Heaven are in constant flux, creating scenes of immense and harrowing death, causing people’s hearts to turn naturally towards those in suffering, to pray and make offerings—ranging from material gifts to sacred mantras—in the spirit of complete salvation and deliverance, guiding others according to the circumstances. Practising the Supreme Good brings the greatest bliss; helping others without seeking credit fosters the growth of compassion, enabling one to live peacefully in the spirit of complete salvation. Only then can one absorb the power of the Creator, which has been and continues to be bestowed upon all sentient beings, enabling them to cherish and revere Heaven and the Buddhas, and to advance together in peace within this era of profound renewal. We must turn towards goodness and self-salvation rather than scheming to harm one another; we must draw close to one another, study together and build for one another in the spirit of salvation.
Following the path of God: In the minds of all sentient beings on earth who cherish and care for their own bodies and all realms, all are subject to the law of transformation and rebirth of Heaven and Earth; we must work together in a spirit of selfless contribution, in harmony with the will of Heaven, to achieve unity and spiritual elevation. Discover the subtleties of Heaven and Earth as they have come into being. Progress in accordance with the law of cause and effect. Living in a world where today exists and tomorrow may not, with a mind free from attachment, one understands the laws of Heaven and Earth to survive, remaining unchanged within the truth that is neither excessive nor deficient.
Those who practise meditation, sensing the benevolence of God who has been and continues to carry out the great collective endeavour, will find peace of mind as they progress in their practice and remain unshaken amidst the transformations of Heaven and Earth.
With a sincere and resolute heart, one’s soul shall be saved.
The Age of Maitreya is a new era that has been and continues to guide spiritual development through the practice and genuine realisation of practitioners on Earth.
